You can use smartglass on most if not all android phones, apple phones and windows phones, whats the problem, you don't need a tablet to actually have smartglass

 

Don't buy/play Fable Anniversary if you're worried it will mess with your completion %.

Microsoft works with the developers to decide how many Gamerscore points are going to be allotted to that game. The developers are then tasked with coming up with achievements through which to distribute that Gamerscore. Ultimately, the developers are
the ones who decide how the achievements are earned, as it has to be programmed into the game to send the signal to the Live servers to indicate that the user has performed the necessary action to be awarded the assigned points. Without the developers, Microsoft
has no way of knowing if you've really "Walked 500 Miles", or "Performed a 10-minute Handstand".

Also, I'm kinda thinking they should create achievements and avatar items for things like Xbox Video movies and TV shows. But you have to actually sit and watch them. The Kinect will be watching, and if you're not there for like 90% of the showing, it's going
to call shenanigans and you don't get your Grimm t-shirt, or Hunger Games avatar costume.

 

@ Klokkwork. Microsoft does not work with the developer to decide how many achievements/ gamerscore comes for each individual game. Every game is capped at 50(may have increased) achievements and 1000 GS at release. Not sure of the DLC caps though. The exception
to the rule has been the Orange box and games that have been released by Microsoft game studios. As far as I know Fable is a Microsoft game studio title so MS has possible influence on that particular achievement.

 

Seems to bounce around a bit. I see 1500 as more of an average for most major non-Microsoft releases, but with variation. 1350, 1550, etc. And then much lower, of course, for Arcade games. But I believe I heard one of the developers of a game once mention
in their own forums that Microsoft gave them a budget of Gamerscore to be divided amongst achievements, and gave them pretty open reign over how they'd be distributed, although I can certainly understand how there would be a limit on how many achievements
there are overall. Nobody wants a game to have 1500 achievements with one point value apiece. I wish I could remember which game and developer, and better yet, link to the quote itself. Of course, I could just be remembering that completely wrong, but that
is how I remember it being stated.

No it s not a problem in the grand scheme of things. You can either miss out on the game because of an achievement or not care about the achievement.

 

Or you could perhaps borrow a friend's. Even a Kindle Tablet runs SmartGlass. Or maybe a Windows 8 PC/laptop?

 

Why can't lionhead studios lend me a device to get the achievement there the ones who want me to use the stupid smart glass crap. You release a game to make money not to lose it which is what will happen with this Fable game and because of that achievement
at least we know lionhead studios don't give a *** about fans of the fable series

 

Well, you're free to drive/fly to Lionhead Studios and ask them if you could borrow someones device to get the achievement, Goggs25.

 

While Smartglass synched with the game it was only on the fourth time of doing so that it unlocked the achievement.

It's a still a good game but something feels off about it. I'm going to install The Lost Chapters on my PC and see if I can nail it down.
