    Its been about a year that I have not been able to send messages from my Xbox one and apps


    yes I have, nothing is blocked at all, I did everything Xbox support told me to do and every single step does nothing to help me with this problem.

    Yes I understand but support told me that they can't do anything anymore and good luck with the forums and someone from the community staff can fix it, and not support. I've done everything to try and fix this, nothing that support as asked me to do worked,
    I dont have any bans, everything on my settings are open, and i've checked the forums and i can't find a solution.

    Continuing to rant at others trying to help will most likely make them unwilling to help.

    What happens if you try and use the Xbox App on your computer? What is the error message you get when that occurs?

    You stated you can receive messages on the Xbox 360.

    Try changing your password on your account but make sure it's not more than 15 characters in length otherwise the password won't work on a 360.

    After you change the password on your account, do the hard reset it (press the power button down on the front of the Xbox One for 15 sec, then let it go and restart it)

    Then sign back in with the new password and try and send messages again.

    Have you tried a Console Reset yet?

    Something else to try. Create a new account here -

    Click on the words in blue Get a new email address and create an outlook email.

    Complete the account setup and then add that account to your Xbox and try and send messages from the new account.

    If the new account works then that's an indication that there's an issue with your profile and not the console.

    well support told me this would help and that the community staff would be able to fix this problem by looking into my account, Im joking that is what support superior said. But if you dont like the rants then you dont need to reply

    FINAL UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I CAN SEND MESSAGES NOW! after a phone call once again to support and sending them the link to this post that I made I can now send messages again!

    I found out that they did an internal investigation on my account.... No, there was no bans at all (thankfully) However! Because I've had this account for 10 plus years that their system was trying to validate something and make me change my password since
    i've had the same password for years. With that being said... it was a bug/glitch, what ever you may call it in their system that caused this issue where it blocked me from posting on looking for group via xbox as well as sending messages. Once again this
    was after nearly an entire year of waiting to hear back from support, calling almost daily, and being on chat for hours. I never was contacted by support only untill I started to call them daily since December of 2017 and taking NO for an answer. One of the
    support member's offline manager told me it was not their problem and to post on the forums, which to be honest, is of no help what so ever, but I did not stop and I kept calling to get some more answers and pressure Xbox to find out what the heck happened!
    So if ANYONE has this problem, after you've done everything to try and fix this, just how I have done then forget the dam forums cause from what I can see its nearly useless ( not sorry but I said I did everything to try and fix it and people didn't read my
    post and told me to try something I've already tried) and call support every single hour, daily, what ever you need to do to get on their butts to figure out what is going on and to fix the problem. So yes ranting did help since the support team saw this
    post and finally their internal investigation looked into it and found the problem. They still wont compensate me for my time being wasted on waiting and the lack of service, Except for like 3 reps who were clutch and emailed me daily to help figure out what
    was gong on and giving me updates, everyone else on support as well as their superiors that told me it wasn't their problem anymore should get fired, cause that was the worst experienced I have ever had.

    I mentioned the password change on my previous post and you stated you've done everything.

    I'm glad you've got access to your messages now but they wouldn't have an option to compensate you for this.

    yes I have, nothing is blocked at all, I did everything Xbox support told me to do and every single step does nothing to help me with this problem.

    come on Xbox! still no help from the staff on here?! this is out of control!

    FYI - the support provided here is from other Xbox users, NOT Xbox Support.

    You can try and go through and update your account info through the steps below -

    1) Start by going to your account here -
    https://account.microsoft.com/profile/


    2) Make sure there's a First and Last Name on the account

    3) The sign in email address that you used for the account, (don't post that info here) but if you used another email like a @gmail.com email address, make sure you completed the email address verification for the account

    4) Where it says Edit your personal info, click on that and update your info there

    5) Where is says Edit your billing info, click on that and update your info there

    6) Go here - https://account.microsoft.com/security

    - under Update your security info click on Update info

    - make sure you have a phone and email on your account so you have options to verify or recover your account

    7) After your account info is all up to date, remove the account from your Xbox console and hard reset it (press the power button down on the front of the Xbox One for 15 sec, then let it go and restart it)

    8) Then add your account back to your Xbox One and try to send a message again
