It's all about the power! Why didn't MS know this?

IMO it's not about the power at all, it's about the gameplay. My all time favorite game (probably because it got me into gaming) is Super Mario for the NES. It's an extremely simple game and requires very little computing power to run but it's still fun.
I would have preferred something a little more focused on games but the X1 is still a great console that I've had a lot of fun with and will continue to.

Thats just something that doesn't need to be policed. Trolls are all over the internet but you don't mix ppl that are legitimately upset or not happy with them.

I agree...not to mention that all these games, Xb1 and PS4 are first gen games....I have been reading a lot of tech stuff that says when the next genarion of game engines hit, the games on both consoles will look even better.....and if the 360 and PS3 taught
us anything, that will come to light most certainly...

And with THAT being said.....To be honest, I like all the new capabilities and direction MS is going......The kinect is great and has allowed me a glimpse into the future of MS.....

 

It's a combination of games, platform uniqueness, and enjoyment; graphics are just icing on the metaphorical cake. If graphics give you such a hard-on you should get one of those $800 gaming PCs.

 

Didnt I read somewhere on a blog site that shall remain nameless that BF4 is so taxing on a system it brings the console almost it's max potential but yet.. only ONE console can run that game.. AND SIMULTANEOUSLY run Skype at the same time WHILE downloading
an update for another game WITH another app currently running in the background... while the other can only run the game...

As was posted above, these consoles are only going to be able to do but so much at their price point. You have graphics cards alone that cost more than the PS4 and XB1 combined.

I thought the PS4 was supposed to be super powered yet the two interesting upcoming exclusives that are made specifically for the console can't hit 60fps. So strange. Not that I care about the res/fps because its all about game play and experience. But also
with the 2 games having no online features I can't help but lose interest. Thanks Sony, I have no need to spend $500 on your system and games, I'll wait until I can get it all for $200.

 

Not sure its about it can't hit 60 its more about choices. 1080/60 with less effects or 30 with more effects.

End of the day supporters will defend that thinking but then hammer Ryse for pretty much the same choices.

Its really about perception , when you have a multiplatform game and console "X" claims to run it at 900p and 30fps , then console "P" claims 1080p and 60fps , well then console "x" looks weak when "compared" (side by side in a screenshot is not real world
gaming but that's what they do so don't shoot the messenger) each systems exclusives don't really matter as both will be great and cant be compared anyway.....I stand with console "x" for the extras it brings .....

 

They are both great machines for the money, yet both are weak compared to what PC can be. Choose the console with better games and online service. The performance between the two consoles is insignificant in the grand scheme of things. The real world
difference is having a true 1080p, 100+FPS pc with ultra graphics. The ease of use and exclusives is why xbox reigns supreme.
