It's all about the power! Why didn't MS know this?

If power is all you care about then you have some serious withdrawal issues that may need to be examined by a professional.

The Xbox One is a great machine and the Kinect is a great add on when used.

Stop complaining about power.

 

If the majority of people in this post bough an Xbox One, are slagging it off and now hating it, A: Why did you buy in the first place and B: What are you doing on these forums using your double standards as an excuse?

 

Don't worry OP. The Xbox One is 100% future proof.

To have such a discussion right now is useless. Don't give up your hope just yet. Wait till E3 and get ready to be amazed.

Microsoft has some of the best minds in the world. Trust me all this known Data about the Power will not do the Xbox One right now justice.

You have a sleeping Power House in your Home right now that just waits to be unleashed.

Fact is this right now. All the current released so called "next-gen" games (Multi Plattform that is) like ghosts,ac4 and now Tomb Raider are running of last gen graphic engines. They do NOT take Advantage of the Architecture from the Xbox One.

Look at Forza 5 for example. It will look "old" to what is coming this year in the racing department.

So goes to Ryse.

Just be Patient. Let us enjoy the current games we have. Microsoft made a Genius move with the One.

 

All personal opinions, of course. Mine?

I don't expect the One to compare favorably with the most powerful PC.

I do expect for it to compare favorably against the PS4 on multiplatform games.

The One's performance comes up short when compared to the PS4 in that situation.

I can understand the frustration of having people complain about something you like, but those folk have as much right to voice their complaints as you do to say how great the Xbox One is.

 

If you check the forum guidelines you'll find excessive negative commentary is not permitted.

 

Personally I look at it this way. I upgraded from the xbox 360. I thought the games on the 360 looked great. Now the only power comparison I'm concerned with is the one between the previous xbox and the new one. Now as far as I've heard the new xbox has
about 10 to 20 times more power then then the 360. Now that means that when they get good with the tech, that the games will look ten to 20 times better than the current 360 games. And like I said. Some of those game already look fantastic. So does the x1
have enough power? I'd say that it certainly does!

LOL...my Panasonic 3DO REAL player cries itself to sleep every night with this mantra...

 

@ braniesel1 the Jaguar was not atrue 64bit console it had 2 32bit CPU's. Anyway I kinda understand the resoultion and FPS thing console S sells for 399.99 and buy specs is suppose to be more powerful and has had an easier time with 1080P and 60FPS and console
X sells for 499.99 and has a harder time with 1080P and some issues with FPS. The common logic says console S is better and is cheaper..

Yeah forgot about that one. Amiga CD32 is still waiting for an approved passport, visa or anything. LOL

 

End of the day content is king.

Other than uncharted, the last of us and god of war I don't like PS exclusives and prefer Xbox ones anyway, so no amount of power will change that. Sure multiplats may look slightly better on PS4 but the X1 versions are still great and that's all that matters
to me.

I'm confused by threads like this. They aren't going to change the "power" at this point. If you truly cared about power you would buy a PC. Consoles are limited by the consumer, not the companies. $400-$500 and you expect a quality next gen machine?
What would you expect if you bought a laptop at that price point. I would expect a low level machine that will last a couple years. Consumers got a great price from both playstation and microsoft. Microsofts believed that incorporating social media through
apps and the kinect was a better way to approach a next gen console. What is innovative about the ps4? It is a low end PC. If anything I wish Sony would have added even better gpu/cpu's and increased the price a bit. I want a real next gen console. (I
am building a custom PC when my tax return comes in). Playstation 4 did a great job for $400. Microsoft did a great job for $500. Quit crying.
