It's all about the power! Why didn't MS know this?

Cloud comuting VS raw power

As I've said before, MS is relying on the ignorant masses to buy into the "infinite power of the cloud" BS.

We all know that server support for games is alright, but let's not pretend that MS isn't insulting our intelligence with their cloud magic horn blowing nonsense.

Cloud computing has been in gaming for many years already. Don't know why idiots are acting like it's new.

 

will this game blow on the One?

This is an MMO so it's really all about the servers MS has the server power to back this game up in every way. sony not so much.

Nope, I was just enjoying my experience on X1 more and it actually feels more next gen to me.

The other console is brilliant and I may pick one up again once uncharted comes out but right now it felt like just a graphical update over last gen.

Graphics are just one piece of the puzzle and since X1 still provides some gorgeous looking games I'm more than happy with it.

You know, It is funny you should say that.....I ordered my ONE from Costco last week (due here today, Monday)....and I had some questions so I called the Costo.com membership services.....While talking to an excellent CS agent, I asked her about 360 vs
PS4 making it out like I had not made up my mind.....She told me they were both great machines and they were constantly sold out of both.....and then she said, ...now get this......

"for what it is worth, my brother bought both consoles (through Costco) and he plays the ONE more.....thinks it is a better experience and loves everything it can do..thinks it's really cool with all the features it has".....No Lie....

I didn't read the link, but one has to remember that most consumer PCs are not gaming PCs or PCs that people game on. Well, I guess definition depends too.. Candy Crush sure is a game, but can we really call it PC gaming in comparison to gaming consoles?




That said, no doubt PC gaming has grown. I believe Steam recently announced some decent numbers too of around 80 million users or something. That said, this is just half the amount of PS3s and 360s sold combined, not to mention Wii sold like 120 mil?

 

Steam doesn't represent the whole PC community, it's just one of many digital distribution platforms.

Aaron82 what do u mean pay more for less? with the ps4 u only get the console, controller and basic eye cam u have to buy the advanced eye cam seperate plus the ps4 has a slower processer more bits per second doesn't mean faster. the more bits a processor
has the longer it takes for it to clock a full cycle.

if it's all about graphics/power for you and you are a console gamer, then you should be pleased......the new consoles are SIGNIFICANTLY more powerful than the last gen.

TW1STED, I think you're thinking of it the wrong way. It's able to process a larger amount of bits in a single second.

 

Ok hang on... The X1 has a Power Brick... Its right there in the name!!!

MS know all about power!!!

This thread has opened my eyes to so many things. I shall be trading my Xbox One in tomorrow for for the more powerful PS4. Can anyone with a PS4 recommend me a good exclusive, that isnt a PC port or F2P?
