    it says "Your account needs to be more secure." Then it gives a phone number and says can you receive stuff from there and then I'll hit yes and it will make me confirm it but when I try it says I can't use the same phone number and it doesn't work. So I
    can't go on Xbox live or sign into my profile

    Hey SlateDegree1503! Gamertags are attached to one Microsoft Account only. Do you have another email address that you used for the original account, possibly a different email provider (Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo)? Double check and let me know!
