It won't let me get on Cortana settings so I can delete her so I can use my connect

I'm sorry to see any issues changing your settings! Can you explain what exactly you see when you try to access those settings? Are you receiving an error or is it crashing to Home?

You should be able to use your Kinect with Cortana, however you'll need to use

her voice commands instead of the Xbox commands. Using the Xbox commands when Cortana is disabled will not give you the full functionality that Cortana provides on the console now.

So let me get this straight. Downloading the content through my account to her xbox doesn't let her use it unless I do a license transfer to her console which would only let her us it online?

I don't know if this would affect this but I downloaded this content through the Gears of War Xbox which I decided I didn't want and so now have a completely different xbox.

I also heard of a license transfer cable sold from Microsoft so I'm guessing I need to use that but can I just download the content again and then use that cable to move it over to my sisters xbox so that she can use it? We don't care if she has to be online
since she pretty much will always be connected to live.

OK, thanks. So, I create a new MS account for her. Can I then rename or delete the gamertag in my account so that she can use it in hers? If not, then she can get a new one, but will lose the games she has already started with her uncle (two uncles now). That wouldn't be a game-changer, though.

Sorry to hear it. There are a few things you can try here.

1. Use a headset with the Cortana commands (remember that Cortana learns the more you use her so it may take a bit before she understands)

2. Tap the guide button and then press X or Y to take a screenshot or record a clip

3. Go to settings and turn Cortana off. The system will revert to the old Xbox commands

i switched to Xbox instead of Cortana and so far is been better. I don't know how often the Xbox voice assistant uses the internet to verify info. But just as usual the Cortana version is superior in terms of understanding me but Xbox is much quicker to
accept commands than Cortana.

So if its just Cortana and my internet and regular Xbox assistant work fine what can I do? I'd rather use Cortana but its unusable at this point
