It won't let me add my phone number to my microsoft account.

I recently got a new phone number and I'm trying to transfer all of my accounts over to this new phone number, and it physically will not Let me add my new phone number as a phone number in my profile settings on microsoft. I have attempted to call multiple different support lines. And I have gone and read every single forum about adding and changing a phone number and none of them are helpful, and every time that I call a help line it either hangs up on me or doesn't give me a solution. I'm getting a little frustrated because I need this phone number to link so I can accept my reward points on Xbox, but nothing is working

I NEED someone from Microsoft to go in and just add one number into my phone number so I can enter my account because I've already tried everything including, filling out the account recovery form several times it has not work at all so if an exception can be made that would be great or my account is gone permanently.

I would be annoyed because my account is lost cause a glitch in microsoft's system messed up my phone number and won't allow me back in.

I was just on the phone with microsoft and basically said only thing I could do was to get someone elses number but iv already used my friends numbers for my other accounts so they are at the limit too. I managed to get a few back as they had my phone
number already in the account info so if i reset my password using phone it let me in but the rest dont have my number in the account info already and i cant sign in to add it so im kinda stuck.

Use a different browser, Sometimes problems with entering information can be browser-specific. Try using a different web browser to see if that resolves the issue.

Try going to billing.microsoft.com and updating all of your information. Then call support and let them know you've done that and see if they can unlock your account.
