It wasn't even my fault..

So my reputation is at avoid me, and it's seriously not my fault. My little brother plays my Xbox when I'm at work, I've told him not to use my profile, and I've told my parents not to let him use my profile, but no one's listens to me. So he plays forza
and he doesn't race right, and doesn't know how to change the setting to make it easier, so of course he hits people when it comes time to turn. And I'm assuming these people get angry at him, and report my gamertag, and avoid me. So now I'm stuck with an
avoid me reputation. I've done my research, and it says that playing with people online fairly will fix it, but how am I supposed to do that when I can't find anyone to play with? It's seriously not even my fault, and now I'm basically stuck because I can't
even find anyone to play with to get my rep up. In my opinion it's not completely out of the question to ask you guys to consider restoring my rep because it's not like I set out to make people angry or to be a jerk, my brother *** me over because he doesn't
know any better. And I'll even admit the fact that I am sometimes an aggressive racer, but I don't just crash people for the fun of it, I trade paint at most, and if I spin someone out on accident I stop on the side of the road and wait for them to pass me.
But I'm almost 6 years into my gamertag, and I really don't think it's fair to treat a seasoned player such as myself, like this. I'm not asking for the world, all I'm asking is for another chance because I kind of got *** over here. I bought destiny on Sunday,
and I haven't even been able to experience the crucible yet because there are literally no people on there that I can connect to. Please, I'm practically begging you to fix this. I'm not a menace to the gaming community, I'm more of a victim of a somewhat
messed up reputation system. All I want to do is play destiny's multiplayer, and now I can't.

:)

I'm afraid that there isn't really much you can do about this. Even though this may not be your fault, it is still your responsibility. Everything that happens on your account, no matter if you, or your little brother does it,
is something you (as the account owner) has to face the consequences of.

I would suggest that you keep your account password protected in the future.

That's a rediculous statement to make, I've given Microsoft thousands of dollars, and I've been a gold member for almost six years, this is basically you guys spitting In my face and not even having the decency to give me a napkin to wipe it off. How am
I supposed to get my rep up if I can't even find people to play with?

Why do I have to be stuck with the dunce cap for basically no reason? How is this fair to a loyal customer such as myself?

And like I said, its not like I'm a menace to the community, an unskilled player played on my account and now I'm brig punished for it. So in the eyes of the community, my brother wasn't skilled enough to be playing, now how is that fair? So just because
a player isn't as skilled as some others are they must be punished for this? I checked how many times I've gotten reported because of him, 102 unsporting, and 24 cheating. That's absolutely absurd. How can someone who can't even race be reported 24 times for
cheating? And his low skill level is labeled as 'unsporting' ?? That's rediculous. You say it's my responsibility, okay, but is it my fault that his skill level is low, and people decided that this person needs to be reported now? And now I can't even play
because of the reputation system. This is obviously a case of people manipulating the report system, and I don't think its fair for me to be treated like a menace because my brother wasn't skilled enough to play a game like others are.

In my opinion is it fair that someone with my tenure with this company, and it's devices should be given a second chance. That's what's fair. I shouldn't be treated like some sort of outcast.
That's a ridiculous statement to make.
Is it? Is it really? Let me give you an analogy. If a teenager takes their parent's car (with or without permission), then crashes it through someone's fence, who is responsible for it? Who has to pay the insurance premium?

When it comes to your account, how can they differentiate someone who actually had their brother play on their account with someone who falsely claims that their brother played on their account?

I will also, point to the part of the rules that you agreed to:

Microsoft Services Agreement

aka, If your brother does something, you have to answer for it. The amount of time you've had the account does not change this.
this is basically you guys spitting In my face and not even having the decency to give me a napkin to wipe it off.
You know I'm not part of Xbox, right?
So in the eyes of the community, my brother wasn't skilled enough to be playing, now how is that fair? So just because a player isn't as skilled as some others are they must be punished for this?
Is this about your brother's skill, or about his behaviour in those matches? If your brother isn't very skilled in a game, that's one thing, but if your brother's behaviour is disruptive to others,
that's something completely different.

Just take a look at this from the point of view of the other players in the match with your brother (on your account). They are not seeing your brother playing in the game with them, they are seeing you, because it is your account.
If your brother is unsportsmanlike to them (even unintentionally), they will be seeing you as being unsportsmanlike, and punish you for it.
I checked how many times I've gotten reported because of him, 102 unsporting, and 24 cheating. That's absolutely absurd. How can someone who can't even race be reported 24 times for cheating? And his low skill level is labeled as

Do you know what your brother was doing in those games? His unskilled driving probably ran other players off the road. Crashed other players. Caused other players to lose positions through his actions. All of these things
could be perceived as "unsporting" or "cheating". How are the other drives in that game to know he's an unskilled player, especially when your in-game ranking would indicate otherwise? To be honest, if I were in those matches, I too would have
reported for "unsporting" and "cheating"
In my opinion is it fair that someone with my tenure with this company, and it's devices should be given a second chance. That's what's fair. I shouldn't be treated like some sort of outcast.
You know what, I actually agree here. You do deserve another chance. Unfortunately that second chance is going to be difficult (but not impossible) to obtain. The reputation rank you have right now
doesn't mean you can't play online at all. It means you can only play with those of a similar rep. This will mean it will be harder to find matches though.
Obviously I'm not the only one in this position, but it's not even like I deserve to be In this position. Judging off how many people are having this problem, it's obvious Microsoft doesn't care
about us.
You're assuming that everyone who is complaining about the drop in their rep is experiencing it for the same reasons. You identified the reason for the drop in your rep, which was your brother. Others may have had a drop in
their rep because they deserved it, they were disruptive players who are now crying innocent. Then for others, it may well be that there is a flaw in the system, and their rep has been unduly dropped. There is no way for you to know the circumstances of
those other people.

Unfortunately for you, what has happened cannot be undone. You can only control what happens from now on. This starts by using the security measures on your account to prevent your brother from accessing your account.

What I'm saying is it's not like Hes doing it on purpose, and trying to make people mad, he's just an unskilled player, and now I'm paying for it. It's unfair, and unjust. These people report him for being unskilled, and Microsoft should be doing their job
and investigating these reports because its an absurd amount of reports. Innocent until proven guilty is what it should be, not guilty until proven innocent. That's the bottom line, now a loyal customer is being punished because an unskilled player was playing
on his account. How is it fair that someone that is unskilled shouldnt be allowed to play? And that's basically what this is, and you can't deny that. If it was me who was unskilled and playing I'd be getting punished for being unskilled when I pay my money
to play just like everyone else does. The enforcement team shouldn't just put people in avoid me because of false reports like this, and they even said themselves that the algorithm adjusts to false reports, well just another lie In a web of lies that has
been spun for a very long time. I'll say again, innocent until proven guilty, not guilty until proven innocent.

Suspensions are issued on the basis of the account's actions, not the particular person who was playing on your account. You are responsible for keeping your account secured from unauthorized access.

Log on to http://enforcement.xbox.com, check your Enforcement history, and submit a case review (if eligible).

My roommate was playing when I got suspended. Can it be lifted?
Xbox Live is a social platform, and we love hearing about players sharing their experience with friends and family. Xbox Live is at its best when everyone joins in the fun!

However, as the owner of the account you are ultimately responsible for how the account is used, both good and bad. When we issue a suspension, it’s not necessarily because you committed a violation, but because the account was used to commit a violation.
Even if you weren’t home or holding the controller when the activity occurred, if a particular Gamertag was used to harass other players or cheated in a game we have to hold it accountable.

If you wish to restrict usage of your account you can set up a passkey on

Xbox 360
or
Xbox One
. And thanks to the benefits of
Home Gold
, it’s easier than ever for every member of the household to create their own Xbox Live account!

Hi there,

The only ones who can respond to any specific enforcement actions (including account suspensions) is the Enforcement team. They do not use the forums.

You'll have to go to https://enforcement.xbox.com/ and submit a case review (if qualified).
