    Don't really know where else to go so I'm going to put it here.

    I'm currently using the Xbox one stereo headset adapter and it seems to have at least partially malfunctioned I still get party audio and can still talk while using it and when I max out the volume I still get the little beep.

    But I'm not getting any audio at all from the Xbox itself no gameplay no sounds while navigating menus nothing.

    and I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions cuz most things I've seen otherwise haven't done anything my controller is up to date to my knowledge.

    If it helps at all this has happened to me before and it automatically fixed itself at some point or something I might have done may have accidentally fixed it.

    I find this utterly hilarious literally about 20 seconds after I post the question it starts back up working just fine again so I guess there's that.

    •You can only connect an Xbox 360 Chat Headset using the stereo headset adapter with a 2.5-mm to 3.5-mm converter, which comes with the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter. The Xbox One Stereo Headset does not include this adapter cable.

    Hi,

    If your Xbox One Stereo Headset isn’t functioning correctly, check the following:

    • Have you updated your controller’s software to support the Stereo Headset Adapter?
    • Make sure your controller has fresh batteries. When the batteries get weak, some controller functions, such as audio and rumble, are turned off to conserve the remaining power.
    • Make sure your Headset Adapter is firmly plugged into your controller and that your Stereo Headset’s 3.5-mm cable is securely plugged into the Headset Adapter. You will know it’s plugged in properly if you press the mute button and the LED lights up.
    • Try your Xbox One Stereo Headset with another device, such as a laptop, to see if the headset is working. If not, the headset will need to be replaced. To order a replacement, go to the Xbox
      Online Service Center       .
    • Try your Stereo Headset and Stereo Headset Adapter on another controller, if you can. If the headset works on the second controller, try updating
      the first controller       again. If that fails, the controller will need to be replaced. To order a replacement, go to the Xbox Online Service Center .

    I read a published article stating that the brand new stereo headsets they release with the adapter do not function correctly. We are now waiting for xbox engeneers to develop a patch to make it compatable so that the microphone can function.

    -not very smart to release an adapter that don't even work yet. Typical Microsoft move here. EA and Microsoft seem to be defining a new norm for the technology field!
