It says my name is still the name that it was before I bought a new one

It can take upto 72 hours before a gamertag is changed. If by then the change has not happened, then contacting Xbox Support would be your best option so they can sort it out for you

Hey! Don't get upset about it, this is a normal thing. If a change doesn't happen instantly for your Gamertag after being purchased (this also applies to Gamerpics too), it will normally happen anywhere from 1 hour to 24 hours later. Sometimes all it needs
is a little bit of time. You should also do a hard restart/power cycle on the console, normally that helps it out. Make sure you also try removing the profile and reading it like the other user suggested.

You should go online and view your purchase history to make sure the purchase went through as well just in case! If after around 24-48 hours have passed and it still hasn't changed, you should either contact support or request a digital service refund. You
shouldn't have to do that though! Don't purchase another Gamertag change until you wait and get a refund, if support can't help you... if it doesn't change in the next day or so.

It's Says i do not have one But i have Never Changed my name but i have Made a new profile before and the one i want to change is not my 1st profile can i still change it ??

what i meant to say was changing you name does nothing

example : my one friend changes his name all the time but hes still on my friends list only with the new name
