It says I need more hard drive space, but I don't!

first off, I have an external HD for my Xbox one. My internal drive is about full. The external has 2.3 TB free. i think I was installing an expansion for fallout 4 and it says I don't have enough space. I guess it is trying to install on the internal drive
instead. I don't want to lose my current game and I don't want to have to reinstall the whole thing. Is there a way to see what is on each drive and selectively uninstall and reinstall on the external drive? Also, how do I save a game on the cloud So I don't
lose the save?

playing new battlefield on xbox 360 with 4g mem.

why cant i play game on my xbox. says i need 2g free space. I do but still wont let me play. Do i need a new hard drive with more space?

nfs rivals won't install

I'm trying to load need for speed rivals and it says hard drive required. It needs 1gb free space I erased a bunch of stuff and have 1.7 gb free space but everytime I click on it, it says hard drive required? has anyone run into this? I have a 4gb xbox

Is it possible to select which drive to install on? I don't see that as a choice.

Hi

As you suggested you probably need to change the default location to install games and apps to. To do this please go to the guide on the left select Settings / All Settings / System / Storage and you should see the store drives listed and when you click
on your external drive you should get an option to install here by default.

As others have been saying, either delete some games and apps that you don't need anymore, or just buy an external hard drive so that you would be able to use more space.

If it says it needs a hard drive, then it needs an actual Xbox hard drive and not a flash drive. It wouldn't be a space issue, but something to do with the system files.

No if you want more space you will need to add an external hard drive I have two 2tb external hard drives on my xbox
