It Looks More and More that Fallout 4 is Bethesda's E3 Secret.

^What games have ended up being remastered for the One after being free on the 360, im struggling to think of any?

 

So do you guys think the earlier rumors are true about Fallout 4 being set in Boston? I would be wicked excited if it was.

 

Wasn't there pointers to it being in the Boston area (Mass) in the main story and all of the Fallout 3 DLC, I forget the name of the quest in the main story but it dealt with the synth human. That's where the Commonwealth is supposed to be isn't it,
so could make sense

 

My only advice to anyone that didn't play FNV would be to make sure and get all the dlc because without it, it's only about 60% of the fun that F3 was. With the dlc it surpasses F3 in some ways. It becomes a completely enormous and entertaining game.

 

Both are very good games. New Vegas was not as bad as everyone says. Yes going up the East Coast to Boston, the commonwealth area, if true will be incredible. I may actually squeal like a little girl if and when Fallout 4 is announced!

 

It's been so long since I played Fallout 3 I couldn't remember any hints. As for NV, I really enjoyed it. Sure there were a few highly amusing glitches but it still had that Fallout feel to it. Not as good at 3, but worth a play through.

 

China would be cool too (Fallout'lore).

In Fallout 3/ DLCs there were some Chinese spies (at least,some were gouls),being a survivor in China as a grand son/daugther of a US spy,would be interesting...New country,new factions and maybe some new enemies.

I don't really disagee with this.

It's just the "Clown Suit" that killed it.

Setting the game in a Steampunk Retro-Futuristic Dystopian Whaling Colony while innovative didn't really capture the imagination.

It ended up being one of those games where the experience nosedives once the novelty wears off.

Definately not worth a remake but to it's credit it was very original when it came out.

 

@ Tzar I don't know about that, part of the Fallout attraction for me is that retro 50s nuclear Americana vibe, not sure if another country could pull that off and retain the same attraction.

@AZ horses for courses I guess, the main game had me hooked and I found the setting and story really enjoyable, I played it through a few times and enjoyed every one, not so much with the DLC's though. I certainly wouldn't buy a remake unless it brought
something new to the table or was very very cheap, but that's probably because I played it to death.

 

As long as were reminiscing about Fallout 3;

I remember spending some time with my long lost father on Tranquility Lane.

The problem was....., that he was a dog!

I hated that level. My Karma definitely took a dive after that.

 

I never got to play Fallout 3 or New Vegas or Dishonored(and I have that one) lol. The GOTY actually. I could borrow my missus' copy of F3 to play, but I got so many other games to play. Dishonored I just need to be bothered to play on my 360. New Vegas?
Who knows. Maybe the announcement will be F3 and NV remaster. No F4.. fans rage quit.

 

Except for the "Dead Money" D.L.C.! Lol. Remember thinking if that D.L.C. was my first experience with Fallout, I'd never play another. I trudged though the red mist to the very end; I was the only one of my friends to do so because they hated it.

Most reviews and feedback panned Dead Money. Anyone here like it?

I can't think of another game I would be more excited for than Fallout 4. Love this franchise.

I enjoyed Dishonored, but not enough to replay a copy on the new-gen systems.

 

@Genchy : Yop but that is the point.Also it's a fiction so they can create a modern China vibe with a retro communist feeling....I'm just curious to see the other side of the fence and learn more about past and present in this area....

 

Well now that you mentioned it, Dead Money was a bit tiring and I remember being a bit glad to walk through that gate at the end. I still somewhat enjoyed it though. When I think about all the dlc in it's totality though, I'm left with a positive feeling
overall. All of the missions were memorable, whereas all the Fallout 3 dlc was mostly pretty dull. I think I only liked one of the dlc missions, all the rest were useless.
