i'm also getting this just for the story mode, as i've said before, Halo MP was the first and last time i rage quit a game and made me swear off of competitive MP games for years.

edit: i also think there are gamers that never owned a OG Xbox, and from what i've heard, trying to play Halo 2 on the 360 was a nightmare.

 

Actually zero I still have halo 2 and have never any trouble with it in the 360. To me it ran just as well as on the original Xbox.

 

ah, i was talking to a friend about it, who is a big time Halo fan, and he was talking about the HUD not rending properly, invisible enemies, getting stuck on/falling through the floor and general glitchiness. perhaps he was wrong, or it was patched later
on or something.

 

I never experienced any of those things. It seemed just as good to me as on the original. Maybe they did patch it later who knows. I actually ran through it again not to long ago in anticipation of the re release. Just so it is fresh in my mind!

 

Halo 3 was what really got me into the "Gold" account. Before that I was happy being silver and really was missing out on so much more Live had to offer.

 

I've been so disappointed with new IPs in the last year that I find myself more and more just wanting to get remastered games like this. At this point I think I'd get more excited by an announcement that Skyrim was being ported than just about any new games.
Marketing always seems to be the same thing...lots of vaguely enticing promises that rarely live up to the buildup.

 

I am getting "The Master Chief Collection" and will enjoy playing through the games again.

However the original "HALO" series was never more than a competent shooter suddenly thrust into the hands of a Mass Market.

It's not unlike the COD of today where a lot of time and effort is put into a game that doesn't really bring too much that's new... but it sure looks shiny.

Grown to really enjoy the series as I played through it though so as I said before, looking forwards to playing these.

Didn't get me excited in the least. I do think this series is garbage though so that's likely the reason.

 

I am ready to finish the fight

 

I prefer new Ip's. I'm not a Halo fan and the Halo games I did play I didn't give a toss about the story.

I only beat Halo 4 . I played all the others but never beat them. It's high time I finish the fight too.
