If doesn't get people excited for the Halo series, then I don't know what will...

So, what are your impressions on this theatrical and cinematic trailer as well as the game and the entire series itself?

Sensible World of Soccer on the Amiga - the sheer upgrade from Sensible Soccer to SWOS was mind blowing for me any my mates. Transfer market, the vast amount of teams to choose from, career mode, job offers..I could go on. Oh yeah, I would even relive waiting
nearly 15 minutes at the end of the season as the game starts to generate the next season.

Xbox 360 - I would have to say COD4 as well. The single player mode stays in my memory just as much as the mutiplayer mode. The missions were sumblime and who can forget that moment of doing Mile High on Veteran difficulty? Well, for those who have done

I thought I was addicted to ME2 but you have me won on that one me ol' china.

 

I only ever played 3 and started 4 so i cant comment on the full backstory etc but some of those characters are of 'funny' design. Either that or im just childish...

Looking forward to MCC collection though as its a great price for the amount of content you get

 

We need less of "Do it all over again" and more "It is time... to start something fresh."

 

^^People are proving they dont care about new IPs. If they did then new games like Sunset Overdrive would be monster sellers and wouldn't ve outsold by re-releases.

 

For me,the story telling really start to shine with Halo 4.I guess this why 434 wants to introduce agent Locke in Halo 2 anniversary.

But i will be please to replay everything,Halo got a strong/fun gameplay.

And i like new IP's too.(Ryse,D4,Sunset Overdrive,Watchdogs,Shadow of Mordor,...)

 

Fresh is not always good for games. I give you
this disaster as proof.

 

i'm looking forward to playing all 4 games in a row, i honestly loved Halo:CE so much and played it so many times, that it is the only Halo game i remember the story line on, Halo 2-4 were a let down for me and had no interest in replaying them before the
next game was released so i really didn't have much of a clue of what was happening and why i should have cared.

and i have no issues with studios re-releasing older games, just wish they would do it during the summer when there aren't many games being released.

 

I'm sort of on the middle of the fence with New IPs and HD/Remastered games.

Of course I want as many new IPs as possible as I'm sure everyone else here does but because it's a new IP doesn't mean to say it will be any good.

As for the remakes etc, I think the downside is there will be a few developers out there that will get lazy, rather than put the time and effort into something new and take a gamble it will be easier to release a remake of the more popular titles knowing
there will be alot of gamers out there that will buy them. I mean I for one already have Halo MCC already pre-loaded, it's one of my all time favourite game series and I cannot wait to play through the epic story again.

Being honest though I wouldn't be saying the same if a remake is announced of a game I didn't enjoy in the past lol

Mind I think there's alot more sequels announced so far than remakes? again though it just depends on what we enjoy, I mean I can't personally wait for the next Assassins Creed but you couldn't pay me to play the new FIFA.

Again though I guess it's easier and less of a risk to developers to make a sequel of the more popular titles than actually take a risk on something completely new.

I still think there's already been quite a few new IPs announced so with the likes of Quantum Break, The Division ( I know there's more but my brain isn't the best at remembering lol ) we already have a nice looking line up of new games to look forward to.

 

The thing with Halo remastered is that it has radically been improved and worth getting again because enough time have passed and graphically a lot better. Where as re-released games like Sleeping Dog, GTA5 and Tomb Raider etc will not be that much different.

I'm probably one of the few people who'll get it just for the single player, never been good at the multi-player side of it.

I'm mainly getting it again for the story/campaign, as I said before it's one/if not my favourite game series of all time.

I don't mind having a mess about on the MP with friends when it's just for laughs, when played seriously then I'm out lol

 

I too am buying this purely for a the single player. To many games these days seem to concentrate a lot on multiplayer or rushed campaigns where having a quick blast seems to be the main attraction. The amount of times I went back and played halo one and
two was rediculous. It also helps that the ai in those games could be quite challenging on higher levels making each play through seem unique. Getting these games will be like having your favourite meal that you haven't eaten in a long time served up in front
of you all over again. And oh am I soooo hungry!!

 

Hello everyone

I love the Halo series, but I stopped caring about the story at the end of Halo 3. My all time favorite game in the series is Halo Reach and the only reason that I even bothered to pick-up Halo 4 was to ONLY play Spartan Ops.

I got the Original Xbox for Halo Combat Evolved and my Xbox 360 for Halo 3.

I got my Xbox One for Sunset Overdrive, NOT Halo 5 Guardians.

I will be skipping the MCC and Halo 5 Guardians; I am done with the Halo series.
