It is taking forever to download to Quantum Break

It has been almost a week that I bought Quantum Break from the store during the Spring sale. But I have not been able to download the game. At first it downloaded till 8GB and then stopped. Did some basic and advanced troubleshoot, but couldn't understand
what was wrong. I also tried downloading Quantum Break Episode pack. Funny enough, it also got stuck at 8GB. So, I tried downloading other games that were less than 8GB. I was able to download Hawken and Darksiders without any problem.

In the past I have downloaded games like Assassins Creed Unity and Syndicate and had no problem. QB and QBEP are the first games I am downloading after the Creators Update.

I contacted the Xbox support. They guided me through the basic troubleshooting. They concluded probably there was something wrong with the game.

Recently, I got a spurt of download while Tom Clancy was updating. Now QB has downloaded from 17% to 30%. It is taking forever to download.

I don't know if it is related but I have been having some problem with downloading apps on my laptop and tablet as well. Esp. after the Creators Update. I thought maybe there is a relation with something wrong at the Microsoft store end.

My internet speed has no problems. I haven't changed my connection. Except increased in speed from 2Mbps to 10Mbps. I can stream youtube videos on xbox, so rules out any internet connection problem to xbox according to me. But still I tried some adjustments
with NAT, etc. No use. There are sudden spurts of download speed of 14Mbps.. and then installations stops. I have to "Try installing again", after which it may either just stop, or have a download spurt, with the chance of former being more than the latter.

I Bought Quantum Break on Amazon and have still not received the code for Alan Wake

I bought a download code for Quantum Break from Amazon on 05/27. When I bought the download code, it said Microsoft would send me a code for Alan Wake 7-10 days after I download quantum break. To date, I have not received any code. However, I have
completed Quantum Break. What else do I need to receive the Alan Wake code?

 

Update taking forever to download

Delete out the update and try to do it over again, if you still havent gotten it to fully download yet.

1. Can you please run a test at speedtest.net and reply back with your Ping, Upload and Download speeds?

2. Are you connected via ethernet cable or wireless?

 

ping = 0ms upload=3.88Mbps download=43.72Mbps

i am guessing there was something wrong at the server end or the game data whatever.. and they must have fixed it. the games downloaded 2 days back. not much issue.. except for minor problems at times.. i reset the router, clear mac address on console and
i am good to go...
