Question is in title.

To anyone contributing in this discussion: Please keep us updated if you are able to get the Accessories App and/or the driver through official ways (not the microsoft update catalog workaround).

Its been over 15 days since my Xbox One S was shippped and still havent received points.

I purchased a Xbox one S on December 26th and its was shipped on the 27th of December and I received it on the 28th of December and I still have not received the promised 50,000 reward points. Please help!

Addition: I found the app on the windows store but when I connect the XBO controller via cable it just shows me that there is my controller and doesn't give any further steps to update the controller's firmware!

 

I checked the Xbox Accessories App as well. After starting it, i can see a picture of my Xbox Controller without any further functionality? What the f*** is that app about?

 

Is there anyone who has a downloadlink 4 the driver without using IE ? Currently Edge isn't oppening any page with IE.. it Looks like IE is deactivated.. I Need that Driver..

I remember a time there was a Driver CD given with any Hardware you could buy ..

Thanks for letting us know! We're aware of the issues involving driver installation along with the Audio/Rumble functions not working properly and our engineers are working hard to resolve this as soon as possible. We'll keep you guys posted!

 

Has there been any update to this? If the software was not ready yet, why release the product in an unfinished and untested state?

 

Yeah I also have found that this problem exists. The driver works fine with the dongle, but vibration and audio do not work. On a side note, the xbox button (when you have Steam open too) opens big picture mode (the button also turns the controller off).
The driver really should catch this and open up a Windows dialog to allow you to turn the controller off (similarly like the Xbox One). That was just a feature recommendation but a driver fix really is needed.

 

Also too, the threshold on the analog sticks is very low. It has lost a lot of precision so you have to move the stick quite a bit to get even a little bit of motion.

 

You must update the drivers:

Hit "Windows key + X" on your keyboard to open the Power Menu, Select "Device Manager"

Click "Network Adapter" to expand the menu and right-click "Xbox One Wireless Adapter for Windows" > Update Driver Software > Search Automatically for Updated Driver Software

Make sure that "USB Audio Device" is selected for playback devices under sound settings. Next to the date & time in the windows task bar (bottom right corner of your screen) you will see a speaker icon, right-click and selected "Playback Devices", then
select Headphones (aka USB Audio Device). Hit ok

This fixed the audio issue I was having with the controller connected via the Wireless Adapter (it worked via USB but not wirelessly until I manually updated said network adapter driver). Thanks!

There should be some new Windows Updates that will help address this issue, go ahead and search 'Check for updates' in your Start Menu and make sure everything is up to date and then give it a shot!
