It feels like the avatars are extinct.

So back in the days, I used to love avatars a lot on Xbox One. However, since they are no longer releasing anymore new items in the store, I think finally I am ready to abandon it. Appears for once in my life, I am finally ready to start a new chapter for
video game feature. Look at this screenshot. No new items were released since early last month. Probably never gonna release anymore items.

I honestly don't even remember that avatars exist most of the time. I don't really see the point of them at this day and age. They were neat when they were first released but there isn't enough use for them for me to really put any time and effort into
them.

If avatars are to become relevant again there needs to be a shake up, some kind of incentive.

you're right there should be a little more "what to do" with our avatars not only see them when we compare profiles

I miss the full integration of avatars. I thought it was cool on the 360 when you would bring up your friends sections and it would show their avatars. Now I believe the only place they are prominent is when you're looking at the friends achievement leaderboard.

There used to be games where you got to play as your avatar. They weren’t always the best, but were certainly fun to mess around in. Maybe some of them should be brought back.
