  1. Issues with Xbox One/Xbox Live since purchase, HELP

I bought my Xbox One about a month ago, since then I have had nothing but problems with it.

Whenever I am playing Destiny, I can only play for about 15 minutes at a time and then I get kicked. Now I understand that this may be a problem with Destiny, but my problems go beyond that. I haven't been able to watch anything on Netflix, whenever I
do watch something on Netflix I get disconnected with a message saying that I need to be connected to Xbox Live to use Netflix. I immediately check my Network connection and everything will be fine. Hop back in Netflix, same thing happens again 15-25 minutes
later. Check network again, same thing, says everything is fine.

I have done everything I can think of on my end, I unplugged my router, reset the Xbox One, called my ISP and everything is fine on their end, I have also even re entered all my network data hoping that would help. Sometimes I actually get about an hour
and a half of play time/Netflix time in and think its resolved, but this all happens again over and over.

I am fairly certain this isn't a problem on my end as everything else that is connected to my WIFI is working just fine. My 360 never had these issues either.

It would be really great if I could get some sort of assistance on this matter, I have posted several times asking for help and never even get a reply. All I ever get is an email a couple weeks later asking how my experience was and if my issue was resolved,
well guess what, it hasn't been lol. PLEASE HELP!

    :)

Can someone please connect my account to their Xbox?

    Hi,

But since Windows Phone and Xbox Live (Free) supports Lithuanians, will there still be an issue?

A lot of people here use xbox with free accounts and purchase content using Microsoft points (Amazon) with zero issues.

Issues with Xbox One/Xbox Live since purchase, HELP

your not alone buddy, I'm having the same issues as you, my 1 month free xbl gold from Master Chief Collection has been wasted on endless XBL disconnects, Spent £££ on a wireless range extender that makes no difference, spent my whole birthday rebuilding
my entire network again, no difference at all.

how I have managed to stop myself from hurling the joypad through my flatscreen i will never know.

My current fix is I'm simply not going to use it until I hear word that M$ is sorting the issue, although in the meantime I will be looking to exchange it for a ps4. Xbox live is nothing like it used to be

  5. I know your pain man. There have been many times that I have been tempted to dropkick my system across the street because I get kicked from live in the middle of a raid in Destiny lol. I was so excited when I got my Xbox One, now it does nothing but ***
me off. The lack of support has been a MASSIVE turn off for me as well. I bet this is my fourth post on the issue and not a single one of them has received a reply from anyone in support. It just absolutely infuriates me that no one, not one single person,
can post something that says "Yeah, it's not you, our servers blow balls", instead all I see is "Unplug your router, reset your system. Didn't work? Ok well stand on one foot and spin in a circle 3 times and see if that works."

I never had these problems with my 360, and to be honest I kinda wish I had it instead of the One lol.

Just like you, I am going to give it another month and see if anything changes, but in the meantime I am strongly considering switching to PS4 as well, I've spent over $400 hundred dollars for a biga$$ paperweight.

  6. xbox live just got hacked again yesterday by lizard squad. this is getting annoying. MS needs to update their server protocols and nail these
[Mod Removed] to the wall. i'm tired of not getting a good connection on some days to play my halo...

It took me 8 Raids to finally get through one without getting disconnected & Lizard squad couldn't hack they're way through a bush.. M$ will be happy to have someone else take the blame and a bunch of 5 year old wannabe hackers will be happy to take the
    credit.

I can understand the massive influx of users over Christmas but why the servers still cant cope is nothing less than shamefull

I kinda wondered if it was a Lizard Squad deal, but I agree with Blighty, it seems very apparent to me that Microsoft isn't willing to come out and say their servers suck, that's why they constantly serve up their cookie cutter responses. It's beyond ridiculous
that they can't just come out and tell their loyal customers that there is something wrong on Microsoft's end, instead everyone just has to sit in the dark and wonder if things will ever change while they pay for online services they can't even use. I'm no
businessman, but this tactic doesn't seem like it would do very well for a large company. How long will it take before people say they've had enough and trade in their Xbox for a PS4 or one of the Alien Ware systems?

I'm really hoping so.ething gets done with this. I am having similar problems, I can game all I want but when it comes to YouTube and Netflix I keep getting kicked from live. I go offline, then back online and everything is fine. I've done the static IP
address. Made sure that all the correct ports are open and still nothing. Like said above, works great sometimes for an hour than BOOM kicked again and sometimes I get kicked 4 - 5 tines within 10 minutes. REALLY FRUSTRATING!!!!!!

  11. I would like to start by saying that as long as there is no official report from an entitled Microsoft representative that any rumors on hacks by any group are just rumors and not facts. If anything happens someone will take the blame even if they where
not involved. Don't trust everything you see on the internet

    @Meat Sweats 31

Can you provide me with the following information ?

What Country/State/Province do you live in?

    Modem brand & model number:

    Router brand & model number:

How many 360 and One consoles are connected to this router?:

Wired or wireless (for each console):

    Things you have tried:

    Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type?

    Any Error Codes you encounter:

Who is your ISP?(Internet Service Provider):

    @PR3TTYxSHADY

If you have a setup with a router and a gateway/modem you need to add your Xbox One to DMZ on the router and port forward your router IP on your gateway/mode. In some cases you can portforward both but more often you'll have a double NAT and things don't work

  12. Oh my goodness a response finally!

    I live in Boise, Idaho

My router is what appears to be an Actiontec, model no. PK5001A

It is a wireless router, so I use all my devices such as cell phone, tablet, laptop, Xbox One on it.

I have tried unplugging the router and letting it reset, I have gone through on my Xbox One and re-entered my network data several times.

I have no idea what UpNp is, I'm no internet wiz.

I also have no idea what an NAT error is, I can tell you that on the Xbox dashboard it says my NAT type is 'strict'

I haven't encountered any error codes except for the ones on Destiny which have been weasel and some other one which indicates I have been disconnected from live. Once again, the problem I am having is as follows: I will be playing Destiny and constantly
get disconnected, but I am able to immediately re enter the game on live. I will be watching something on Netflix and it will boot me off after about 15 minutes saying that I have to be connected to Xbox Live in order to use Netflix, I check my network on
the One and it says everything is fine, I am always able to immediately log back into Netflix. This also happens on Youtube constantly. My original post up top explains everything in better detail.

I have CenturyLink for my ISP.

    Thanks.

  13. Issues with Xbox One/Xbox Live since purchase, HELP

What I don't understand is when I had my 360 everything worked flawlessly. I never had any problems with losing my connection, except for when Lizard Squad did their dumb little deal. People all around me in game would be losing connection but I could play
for hours and not lose connection.

  14. I want to apologize that your post got overlooked for some reason but I'll try to help you now.

Your NAT type being strict is what is causing this issue most likely, you'll want it to be "open" or "open behind a cone NAT"

If you have access to your router I want you to do this

Some settings might have different names but they should be similar

    1. On your Xbox while on the home menu press the menu button and select
      Settings
    2. From there you select Network

You might want to write down the information on the right side;Subnet mask, Gateway
    3. You then select Advanced settings This will allow you to configure your IP
    4. You select manual DHCP selection and you will be prompted to enter an IP

Try to make the IP in between 192.168.*.100 and 192.168.*.200

The " * " stands for the subnet which you can copy from your gateway as this can differ for some people gateway usually looks like 192.168.0.1 so just copy the 0 in this case

    5. After that you will be asked for the Subnet which you just copy from what your wrote down

    6. You also just copy the gateway from what you wrote down

You now have a Static IP for your Xbox One

    On to the next step

    1. Go on your computer and gain access to your gateway settings

This can be done by entering the gateway into a browser
    2. On the sub tabs select Port Range Forwarding/Port forwarding

    3. In Start Port and End Port type in.
      • Port 88 (UDP)
      • Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
      • Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
      • Port 80 (TCP)
      • Port 500 (UDP)
      • Port 3544 (UDP)
      • Port 4500 (UDP)

On ports where it says UDP and TCP you can select
        Both from the dropdown menu
    .

4.In IP Address type in the IP Address of the
    Xbox.

5.Put a check in the Enable box.

    6.Select Save Settings.

Now you have opened the required ports for the Xbox One, there should only be one step left

    1. Click Setup across the top.
    2. Click Lan Setup from the sub tabs.
    3. Click the Pre-Assigned DHCP IP Addresses button.
    4. Enter in the Xbox's MAC Address and IP Address.
    5. Click Add Static IP.
Now Powercycle your Xbox and go back to network settings

    • Test multiplayer connection
    • Hold the bumpers and triggers on your controller to instantly load the detailed statistics
    • If your NAT says open behind a cone network you should be set

Alternatively if you have a setup with a router AND
a gateway/modem you'll need to enter your Xbox's static IP in the DMZ of your router (DMZ is an option usually found in the firewall settings of a router) and then portforward your router IP on your modem/gateway

  15. Ok, so how do I do this Gateway deal you speak of? Enter it into a browser? Sorry but this is all a second language to me...I got through the first half but when you mentioned Gateway you lost me.
