Issues with Xbox One S screen flickering on Samsung TV

Hi,

I’m having issues with my Samsung 6 Series 43” TV with my new Xbox One S, the Samsung model is UN43NU6900. The issue I’m experiencing is with the UHD Color option on the TV, which when enabled allows HDR10, however when playing games the screen will flicker,
typically in lobbys or on the main menu. Is there any way to fix this? I am using the included HDMI cable in the box and tried both ports on the TV. It stops whenever I turn UHD Color off, and never occurs in the Xbox dashboard or submenus. The picture above
only happens for a split second on the startup of Forza Horizon 4, right after the Microsoft Studios Logo, then its the normal intro car driving. It completely stops when UHD Color is off in TV settings.

Im pretty sure I did, it’s a compatibility issue I believe. Even though my TV supports HDR10, if its enabled (UHD Color) it flickers only then. It may also be worth noting that I also have an issue with the Auto On/Off function for the TV when the Xbox
is on/off, it works at random no matter the settings I choose, so I’m thinking it may be an issue with the TV.

Hi Eseronai,

I would check the different display modes on the TV (like game mode, movie mode, etc) and seeing if you are having the issue when it is switched to normal/standard mode.

See I’ve tested it on my old Emseron 720p TV, and no flickering happened. It seems to only happen when its on my newer Samsung TV with UHD Color (HDR10) enabled on the tv itself. Otherwise 4K UHD works fine??? My tv acts very weird with the Xbox One S

I have and it seems to work fine when UHD color in the tv settings is off. I just dont get why I have issues with UHD color

Check your tv video settings first. In certain modes the tv messes up badly the image of console.
