Issues with Xbox One Controller

Hello,

I am looking for help on an issue I am having with my controller. The problem I have is most likely unheard of but please, any help is greatly appreciated. My issue is that my controller won't accept any type of headset system. What
I mean is that once I plug my headset into the controller, I can't hear a single sound, sounds such as the one that can be heard while browsing through the home screen. I also cannot send audio messages to my friends. I know for a fact that it is the controller
and not the headset because I used another controller and plugged the headset into that one and the sound was working just fine. This issue seemed to occur right after I had used the controller on a PC, just to try it out, and switched it back to my Xbox afterwards.
It seemed the controller somehow formatted itself to not accept headsets after being used on a PC. Please help. Thank you

Oh... controller woes....

I am not having any issues with my standard Xbox One Controller. I like it better than the 360 controller.

Thanks for the reply and update on the issue. I recommend to try the following article:
Xbox One Wireless Controller Solution.

If the issue persists, try a different controlller. This will help isolate the issue between the console or controller.
Try this link if the issue persists with the one controller: Replace your controller below to check your warranty and
initiate an exchange.

Give this a try and let us know the results.

@P3rf3ctDay Having the same issue with my controller. The controller I am having issues with is one from Play and Charge set.

Seems like the Xbox One controllers are not up to par with the Xbox 360 controllers. They just seems cheaper and flimsy.

For hardware issues, we can only recommend replacing the controller.

Is this happening on only one Xbox One, or both of them? as it could be an issue with the console losing connection to the controller as oppose to there being an issue with the controller.

Do you have any other Xbox One controllers? If these work, but your other controller does not then the issue can only be with this particular controller. Windows 20H2 does not have any compatibility issues with Xbox controllers, my Xbox One, Series X and 360 controllers still work fine.
