  1. Issues with Xbox One and 14 day trial subscription to Xbox Live

    Hi

I'm hoping someone can help me (Contact Support and Community Chat are currently off-line at the moment).

On 26th June I purchased an Xbox One for my son as as a birthday present. The xbox will be used by the whole family so I signed in using this microsoft account and redeemed the 14 day trial subscription to xbox live. All seemed to go well. The card was registered.

Yesterday I tried downloading a free game via the xbox one that was showing as "free". The 2.3gig download started without a problem however when it reached 100% the Xbox One threw up a message saying "download stopped" and then told me that I needed to
have an active subscription, which I thought I had.

It suggested that I either try downlaoding again or purchase the game through the app store. I tried downloading again and got the same error message. When I went to the app store, to see if I could buy the game, it showed the game as "free" and once again
clicking on it resulted in the same outcome as above that is it would show the download as 100% and the tell me that it had stopped the download.

When I check my account online there is no sign of the 14 day subscrition in either my transactions or my subscriptions. (I've checked the microsoft commerce site aswell)

The funny thing is, when I am signed in and view the game in the store, it shows the game as being free, however, when a friend of mine who does not have a current live subscription, signed in with his miccrosoft account and went to the store it offered
the game to him for £10.99.

It would seem that somehow the xbox one system seems to half think that I have an active subscription but yet there is no sign of it on my account. It's all a bit odd and makes me retisent about buying a full subscription.

    Any suggestions?

    :)

  2. Adding 14 Day Xbox Live to my One Year Subscription

Hello, I recently pick up the new Xbox One X and it came with a free 14 day trial for Xbox Live. I already have one year of Live that lasts till around June of 2018. I put in the code for the 14 day trial and it seems that nothing has happened. Will the
14 days be just added on to my one year subscription or did nothing happen at all with my Xbox Live subscription?

xbox live trial not working on new acc

When I activated it, it said that it was ''backwards compatibility code''.

so when i applied a 14 Day Trial code that came with a new XBox One. That activated fine as a "14 Day Trial to XBox Live Gold" and the backwards compatibility thing. However, when I try to play forza horizon it still asks me to sign-up to an XBox Live
    Gold subscription.

Issues with Xbox One and 14 day trial subscription to Xbox Live

The game that you're attempting to download wouldn't be Max: The Curse of Brotherhood, would it?

If so, then you do need a full Gold Membership subscription to access it. The 14 day trial is just that, a trial and does not give full access to all Gold features.

Having a full Gold membership would be beneficial to both yourself and your family. Not only will you be able to share it with other members of your family on the console but you'll be able to take advantage of the Games With Gold program.

This month the Games With Gold program will allow you to download and play Max: The Curse of Brotherhood and Guacamelee! for free.

If you choose to not add a Gold subscription you can download Killer Instinct and get one free character to fight with (rotating) per month. There are also some Demo games listed in the Store.
