Issues with Xbox Live when connecting to various things including Destiny 2 companion app

I have had an issue for about two months. I've been searching all over forums, YouTube videos, and help pages and what not and have found no answer. I have found some other people who have the same issue although it is an uncommon one. I found one form in
which a user said that they figured out the issue but their explanation was unclear and when I asked a question in the form, it was immediately locked by Xbox and I never got an answer.

My issue is this. The first time I came across it was when I tried connecting my Live account to the Destiny 2 mobile app. It came up with a page titled "Authentication Error" and stated the following: "We were unable to sign you in with your Xbox Live account.
Please visit xbox.com and sign in to verify/update your Xbox Live account. This error usually indicates that your Microsoft account has no Xbox Live Gamertag, or that your account must be updated in some way, such as agreeing to an updated terms of service."
I have looked all over both the Xbox and Microsoft websites to find potential issues with my account and have found none. I figured at the time that it was an issue with Xbox Live servers and that it would be fixed in time. I have tried using a different browser,
a different wifi router, I tried incognito mode; none of which worked. I have had similar issues when trying to connect/sign into Xbox Live with Stadia, the Ishtar Collector app (another destiny app), bungie.com, and destinytracker.com, causing me to believe
it is definitely an issue with Xbox Live. I went through restrictions and security settings to look for anything and found nothing. I have had no issues with Xbox Live when playing on my Xbox or even with the Xbox mobile app itself, only when trying to connect
to third party apps and websites.

I pray that someone out there has an actual solution unlike the Microsoft forms moderators who will tell me to do basic things that I've already tried. If I was unclear about anything or anyone has any questions I will try my best to answer them. I feel
like its something simple that I am missing, but my knowledge and limited help has been unsuccessful.

    :)
