Issues with Xbox Live Login - Parental email incorrect???

Hey folks,

Since being prompted to change the email address associated with an Xbox live account (that has Gold attached), we're now getting an error upon trying to login to Xbox Live. We've spoken to Support folks, with no success and have heard that others have had
similar issues.

Hoping for ideas on how to fix this thing!!

How can I remove a parental email from my xbox live account?

Ohh, and well I can only login to my personal xbox live account because the parental email belongs to my aunt...

family gold account

The troubleshooting gold family pack had the answer to my problem. I was having issues because my WLID was different than the one I use to login or to use for email. It wasn't the parental email so I was being rejected. I figured out my original parental
email and that allowed me to add my child with her WLID. Thanks all.

Hello, I too have had this problem before. All you have to do is that when you are signing in and it asks for an email erase the email that was previously written, and write the new/current email (same with password)

i know the email and password for my parents account but i type it in and it just sais "PARENTAL APPROVAL REQUIRED The parent credentials provided are incorrect. Please enter the correct parent Windows Live ID to continue"

but if i type in something different (say the email and password for another account) it tells me that either the password or email is wrong. so it knows the first email and pword is correct it just doessnt go to the next page

This should work, however, the problem is not the parental control, but that I can not login due to an incorrect WLID for parental control. This means I can not get on windows live. I will go try to do it on a PC-game interface though.

Hi there,

it seems that either you are using the incorrect 'email' (Microsoft Account) to login to your account, or that somehow another xbox live account was created on the same 'email'.

My advise is to contact Xbox Support to see what exactly happened. They should also be able to help you fix the issue.

(Which could be something like trying to move this incorrect xbox live account to another MS account).

If it's asking for a login email and password when you try to purchase Gold, you may be operating a child account with parental controls in place preventing you from making the purchase. The reason it's not telling you that you have an incorrect password
is because the password is correct. The problem is you're using the child email and password to authorize itself to make a purchase, and that's not going to fly. You need to enter the parental email and password.
