Issues with Xbox live and downloads.

I understand hacker have caused some real issues and all, but I really would expect better out of Microsoft, a company that has a yearly revenue of 86 billion dollars. I waited all year to get a xbox one and now I finally have one and I can't do anything
with it. Yesterday I could not use my xbox and today I spent the better part of the day downloading updates (which should not of taken that long) with multiple error codes. Now I finally have it all downloaded and I can not purchase a gold membership to play
the games I spent hundreds of dollars on. I pretty much wasted my whole day trying to get this to work and im a little disappointed that Microsoft allowed themselves to be so vulnerable to let some teenagers take them down for this amount of time.

I am really hoping to see some compensation like they did in the past when their were major issues like this. For Christ sake I have spent nearly 500$ and I still have to buy a gold subscription to play a game that I am going to end up buying some DLC on.
>_< Microsoft needs to hire someone like Kim Dotcom who really cares about gamers and the money spent.

On another note so I am not sounding completely negative, I am assuming xbox services are down right now to protect users because of the hack. I do appreciate the hard work all the Microsoft employees are putting into fixing this issue. I am sure a lot of
peoples Christmas was cut short by this issue so thank you for your hard work. PS work faster please lol

 

Hello! AiresOFWar23, This hasn't been confirmed as Microsoft. I'm sorry for this inconvenience but as we speak, the staff are on top of getting the servers back up ASAP. They care for the gamers. However I am not sure about a compensation.

 

I used to do some voluntary work on Google forums as a Top Contributor, much like a Ambassador for xbox. I am reminded of a funny joke back then that a Google employee posted in the forums which fits this moment perfectly. It went something like this...

"We apologize for our service being down and we are working vigorously to get it up and running again. The problem occurred when one of our employees trip on a wire in the server room and we can't figure out where the dang thing goes"

I got a text saying its back up and running! Sweet!!! Guess they found where the wire goes Still would love to see some compensation for the inconvenient. I think the gesture would go a long way.

LOL well I think the put the wire in the wrong place because now I cant even sign on my account unless its just overloaded from everyone trying to get online now.

I am able to sign on but its unstable at best. Takes a few times for it to work. Destiny servers are crashing like crazy tho.
