    Hello -

    My son had been trying to play Minecraft for two days and he keeps getting a "error" that I can not figure out. He can connect to Xbox live just fine outside of the game and all the network tests are fine, but when he tries to play it says that he needs
    a "online profile and needs to connect to xbox Live" so we reconnect again and hit play and the same message comes up saying he needs a online profile. He can log on to other online xbox games just fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. =)

    Well, it should. I heard people aren't having issues with playing Minecraft with a 360 controller.

    Xbox 360 games on xbox 1

    Just sign in with your account at a xbox 360 (any 360 console) from that moment on you will not have issues

    Try to unplug your internet modem from the wall for 30 scents then plug it back in and rest your router i think that will help

    I'm guessing your gamer profile leaves a "digital" foot print online, because you have to of played Minecraft Xbox 360 online, before you can get Minecraft Xbox One at the discounted price.

    Having issue getting my sons profile permission to play online. His profile is set to teen, allowed to play online multiplayer but when he tries to play online Minecraft Xbox One Edition he gets an Xbox notification saying he cannot due to his settings.
    What's to be done anyone?

    I am assuming this is what you mean.

    Back in the 360 days you were not required to have an online MS account connected to your xbox profile (it is now required with the ones).

    The 360s used to have the capability of have local only profiles that were attached to the console themselves and could not get online and play multiplayer.

    Again I am assuming this is what you are talking about.

    The following link will bring up a support article with instructions on how to turn an offline profile into an xbox live online profile.

    This does have to be done on a Xbox 360.

    I have xbox live on my account on xbox 1 but when I put the 360 version of black ops 2 in, it let's me play with my profile but not online. It tells me the profile I'm using can't use xbox live on this console
