    Hello!

    So I recently bought an xbox one and a few xbox 360 games that are compatible. However, when i try to play these games it doesnt recognize my live account and keeps asking me to download a profile and then saying the network is not working.

    The most frustrating is Rare Replay. This is technically an xbox one game but certain parts like Banjo Kazooie come up as xbox 360. I cant get past the start screen for Banjo because it is doing the same thing with my profile.

    Please help!

    Did the 360 have issues early on?

    I didn't start playing on xbox live until Call of Duty 4. My experience with the 360 was near flawless over the course of several years. Games always loaded. Parties were simple and reliable. My controller and headset didn't randomly stop working mid
    game. I have had more issues with my xbox one in one year than I had with my 360 in seven years. Everyone I've talked to on my friends list has had the same issues and is wondering the same thing.

    Will theses issues be ironed out with more time?

    Did the 360 have similar issues early on in it's life cycle?

    Why was the 360 more simple and reliable than the newer, more powerful gaming system?

    This isn't an xbox one hate thread. I'm an xbox fan. I plan on playing xbox one for several years. I'm just wondering what I should expect going forward.

    I think this is more a question of “how do I make a guest account on 360 backwards compatible games” since I have this issue with all my 360 games on xbox one so is there a way to add guest accounts on 360 games when playing on xbox one? because from my experience it’s not as easy as adding a guest account on xbox one

    When you say you have tried to download your profile do you mean on the 360 emulator or on the One side of things?

    DO NOT want to know what it is but you will also want to make sure your password is not longer then 16 characters

    Hey Gallo thanks for taking the time to bring this issue to us.

    We suggest a reset of the console since the problem might be on the actual OS of the console so we would suggest a
    Soft
    Factory Reset     (while keeping games and apps)
    IF AND ONLY IF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA IS MET:

    • There is a stable network connection.
    • The information for all profiles is known (email and passwords)
    Once the setup is complete it will ask if we want to keep settings or manual setup lets do manual setup. Give it a shot and let us know of any changes!
