Issues with Xbox 360 connecting to my mobile hotspot

My xbox 360 e console has the built in network adapter already and I have been using my hotspot for months with no issues. Now all of a sudden it tells me it can’t connect. It gives me the options of network adapter is connected but not configured, then
maybe wrong password, then turn your router off which I can’t really do. I have tried all the articles I found on xbox.com to help. It did connect when I changed my hotspot to open but then said I would have limited gameplay. Everything else connects just
fine. My laptop doesn’t have any issues. So what changed on my xbox and how do I fix it?

I also have tried using my mobile hotspot and it wont even connect using my mobile hotspot. I have 2 different XBOX 360s and neither one will connect that way. It will work if I hardwire it.

I tried everything as you suggested, but the issue persists. The Xbox One will connect to my mobile hotspot, but not to my Wi-Fi suddenly. My phone, Fire Stick, Xbox 360, and Switch can connect just fine to Wi-Fi.

I don't have any restrictions on my hotspot. The xbox used to connect just fine and now for some reason it changed. By limited use I mean when I took my password off my hotspot it would connect but it gave me the message that it might limit my online gameplay.
I'm not for sure how much it would limit it though. But I don't want my hotspot being an open network. I'm not sure how to configure the network on my xbox. I've tried following the directions on this site and it didn't help. This is the only way I have
internet though.

Maybe some configuration changed on the mobile hotspot? What do you mean by limited gameplay when connected to a open network, do you mean that you are able to browse XBOX Store for exampe but not able to play online games?

What internet speeds do you have on your hotspot? Do you have a limitation on connected devices?

I'm sorry to hear that. Please try setting up a mobile hotspot connection using your phone, then connect the console to the hotspot connection. Try launching an Xbox 360 game now and see if it works.
