    I am having the same problem and do wonder why a fix is not provide by Microsoft instead of having Xbox One owners waste valuable time trying routines that reportedly do not work. I guess the presumption is that our time is of less value then that of the
    paid staff at Microsoft.

    I have the same target an source as the previous report submitted by AshavanX. I have tried the Hard reset and cannot get online though my network connections have been tested.

    It is a 378 MB update and I guess the next attempted fix will be that I should go out and buy a 4 GB flash drive ????

    Why I do not know other then Microsoft likes my spending money or more tec even when it is unnecessary.

    I would really like to see Microsoft step up and fix the update instead of putting responsibility on Xbox One owners to try multiple fixes before any responsibility is accepted by Microsoft. It seems to me that the responsibility falls on Microsoft as
    it is their update (faulty no doubt) that has rendered our machines unusable and interrupted our access to using our online accounts (for which we pay user fees)

    Please get it together Microsoft and provide a working update so we can get on with our lives. You got a job to do and customers to serve. Get at it Please.

    Providing information that "guides" us off in another direction so you can move on is not a solution.

    Hi PayneAS! The console shouldn't need to download updates in a sequential order; the latest update includes all of the previous updates as well. However, if the update failed, it may be *partially* updated, which can be problematic, because the console
    knows that, but the version number is correct. Anyway - Can you again try taidara's suggestion, with the console disconnected from the internet? It should then use the USB update and it *should* work. Let us know if this helps!

    (oops, hit post by accident)

    I did as suggested above. Still not working. The download bar gets to about 40% of the way done and then ticks backwards a little, then forwards, then backwards, then forwards, and finally fails. Gives me the error code Error 3F4B 0000 3080
    0505 8007 5070     again. If what the help topic (I linked earlier) says is true, that I'm missing a previous update, how can I get it to download the update? It won't read the update off my USB stick. :/
