    I will start the update on my console, things are fine and it will say "restarting" usually after that it's supposed to power back on and things run smoothly. For me, the screen stays black and the power light will blink. I have tried lettting it stay
    on to see if it will fix itself, but it will literally have a black screen and blinking light for days.

    Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this to see if it will help. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back
    in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational test the results.

    Hi, has it also cleared your save data cos I've had this same problem and am currently reinstalling it but want to know if there is even any point.

    Hi PayneAS! The console shouldn't need to download updates in a sequential order; the latest update includes all of the previous updates as well. However, if the update failed, it may be *partially* updated, which can be problematic, because the console
    knows that, but the version number is correct. Anyway - Can you again try taidara's suggestion, with the console disconnected from the internet? It should then use the USB update and it *should* work. Let us know if this helps!

    (oops, hit post by accident)

    I did as suggested above. Still not working. The download bar gets to about 40% of the way done and then ticks backwards a little, then forwards, then backwards, then forwards, and finally fails. Gives me the error code Error 3F4B 0000 3080
    0505 8007 5070     again. If what the help topic (I linked earlier) says is true, that I'm missing a previous update, how can I get it to download the update? It won't read the update off my USB stick. :/
