Issues with online play

Hello!

I have come across an issue while trying to plan on my Xbox One. While trying to play Rainbow Six Siege, I tried to accept my friends invite from Xbox to join his lobby. However, upon holding down the Xbox Logo button on my controller, I was prompted to purchase a subscription to Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Gold.

I already own an Xbox Gold Membership on my account, I had a 12 month subscription gift card that I put into my account around Christmas time last year. I am not even close to the 12 month subscription timer, and am very confused.

I believe that I cannot access multiplayer across any game I own, however I did have an oddity; I could still use the Xbox party system as I normally could. I also have recently cancelled my Game Pass ultimate subscription (by recently I mean the final day ended yesterday of the Ultimate subscription), and I believe that has caused the issue I am having.

I know for a fact, without a shadow of a doubt, that I should still have Xbox Live Gold for well around 8 more months.

I know right and I also have game pass as well and I don't know what's going on too

I've had this problem occasionally and usually just dashboard and restart the game, it happens only so often that it never bothered me much. Either way, thanks for the tip HotdogAddict, I'll keep that in mind and maybe save myself any trouble with that in
the future.

I am very sorry for the problem you are going through, with the intention of being able to help you I did an internal search on the Microsoft forum and found a publication by Rodrigo Oliver, an independent advisor, where he mentions the reasons why perhaps you cannot play in multiplayer for the moment:

Wait times are due to server capacity and player number/demand.

Queues are necessary to ensure that all players have a good gaming experience.

I believe the servers are being updated regularly to mitigate this, but for now, and given the time of year, wait times are longer than usual.
