Issues with new update, and backwards compatibility

With this new update came slew of promises and awesome features that seem extremely hard to use.

I have struggled just trying to figure out how to gain access to any 360 games to have them download on my xbox one. Just to try this out i was trying to download the free 360 game dirt 3, and i just cannot figure out how.

I believe there should be a way to access and download these games straight from your console, but so far i've failed to find any way to do so.

If anyone knows the proper steps to gain access to these free games, and how to download previously owned 360 content i would appreciate the tips.

Halo Reach terrible framerate issue

I've just read the news, from 1 day ago, that there is a new 732 MB update for Halo Reach. So, I tried loading the game once more to see if the update improves the framerate, but it didn't prompt me for an update. I tried 1 match and it's still very jerky,
very unplayable. I think I didn't get the update yet. How do I get the update?

Is it still possible for Microsoft to make xbox original games backwards compatible?

AFAIK the backwards compatibility program was stopped a long time ago, with no plans for any new updates.

Head to your games and apps section of your Xbox One and scroll all the way to the right in the games section. Any 360 games you have that are backwards compatible will show as ready to install there.

is anyone else getting friends appearing offline messed up community feed pretty much all the store etc too is doing this for me i know they said it wasn't polished for release also started up a game of gears now its not reading my save because it saying
i'm not singed in which i am

They haven't updated the backward compatibility of the 360 in a long time. I don't think they will end up doing it as even the new xbox one will not have backward compatibility.

Time will tell, the best way to find out is to keep checking on the list of backward compatibility games at www.xbox.com. It is updated when new games become backwards compatible.
