Issues with my Xbox One S Starting Up

I'm going to preface this with the fact that I haven't turned on my Xbox in nearly a year. Today, I tried to turn it on, and at first, everything seemed to be normal. The launch screen came up, and everything was fine. But then I notice that it's taking
an awfully long time to boot up, so I restart the console and the same thing happens again. This time, I wait for 5 minutes or so before it finally boots up. And when it does, I'm greeted with... a gray screen. I restart the console again, (once again, it
takes 5 minutes or so to finish starting up) The gray screen is back. I've been waiting for about 10 minutes now, and nothing has happened. If I hold the Xbox button on the controller, the power options come up, but nothing happens after I close it. If I tap
the Xbox button, the Home menu sound plays, and the gray turns slightly darker, like it's trying to open the home menu. I'm a bit nervous that my Xbox won't work again, and I figured asking support was the best path to follow. Anyway, any bit of help or advice
would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi this is off topic but this is the most recent reply ive seen. I have the hdmi low res glitch for my one s. Ive been sitting here trying to boot up the low res mode for 3 hours and nothing is working... the second beep will never come. I tried troubleshooting
and that didnt work. Low res and that didnt work. I have done everything with multiple power resets and i just cant get anything to work. If there is anything at all that would help me i just need to know please and thank you

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Xbox Forum support. I am sorry to know about the console situation; However, I believe your console might need just a system refresh to perform the system update successfully. I would like you to go through the following
steps to perform a quick power cycle.

I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

If you are still receiving a black screen, I would like you please to kindly follow the instructions below to physically reset your console:

- Turn off the console unplug all the cables then re-plug them back again.

- Click on the "Bind" and "Eject" buttons at the same time after 10 seconds click the home "X" button just once without letting go of the two buttons. Throughout the whole process you will hear two beep sounds and end up with a troubleshooting page. On your
screen. You will need to select the "Reset this Xbox" option and choose "Reset and keep my games and apps".

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you
to sign in to the account.

Yes. Remove the security password from your router then re-connect. Seems to solve the issue for people.
