    Hello, I write here in the hopes of finding some answers that even the people on the Xbox help support could not help me with.

    I am getting very frustrated with what has happened.

    Here is the story.

    First of all I am new to the Xbox Brand, this is my first Microsoft console I buy. So far things are not going well, and i hope it gets resolved.

    On December 12 I bought a new Xbox One console for my kids for Christmas. The Xbox will NOT be opened yet, just on Christmas day.

    So with all the deals going on, I DECIDED to create my Xbox Account so i could get games VIA the website, just like i would do on the PSN.

    So i create the account, put my name address, and specify i live in CANADA. So im on the website and see that Killer Instinct is on sale. I'm super excited and go ahead and buy it with my paypal account, (wich ive never had issues with in the past)

    So i try to buy it but when i go to the checkout it sais that my country is United States.... im like WTF? i specified i was canadian. So not know what to do i read more on the site and i comme accross something that says MIGRATE YOUR ACCOUNT. So im like
    ohh ok so ill just change it to canada. And i went on ahead and did so.

    Then im thinking to myself why the hell happened... anyways. So now when i check out it sais CANADA. I go ahead and buy the game and it checks out well.

    So i notice my account sais Xbox live TRANSFER. So it is still doing the migration thing.

    So after numerous calls, and trying to find out why the stupid thing still hasnt been billed they tell me that its the MIGRATION affecting it.

    It's supposed to take 24 Hours, its been more than that so far. But for some reason i will have to wait many more days. Not ONLY that they tell me that my GAMES LICENSE might not work after the migration... W T F???? all this error because of their site
    *** my country up.

    As a first time member of Xbox, I AM VERY VERY displeased at all this ***, So I told her OK cancel the purchase SINCE IT IS STILL PENDING, so they tell me they can't the migration will have to complete. But once that is done, I WAS told that i would not
    be able to get rid of the license since it was done in the UNITED STATE thing, wich is wrong the purchase was done as Canadian, i even changed it before since the check out wouldnt let me chose Canada as country.

    Whats even causing more *** is the fact that SUPOSEDLY the Killer instinct deal on the COMPLETE EDITION is not in Canada but US thing only.

    So far i have a big headache. So when all is going to be fixed i was told that the license could not be cancelled, but the game shows as purchased even if it wasnt billed. I ask her will i be able to remove it so i can buy it after the migration, at this
    point i DID not care about the KI complete Edition DEAL i will pay it full price, but she said she wont be able to removed it, wich will ... are you ready? IT WILL PREVENT ME FROM BUYING the game since the license is on my account and they wont be able to
    remove it.

    WTF is all this ***, im lost, confused at all this. ALL of this *** because of their stinking site registering me as United States citizen.

    If i would not have already redeemed my 12 month xbox live card I WOULD be immediatly returning it to the store.

    Has anyone had this issue before.

    Spencer if you ever read this, help me out jeez.

    All of this because i went on ahead of time to buy games before the day my kids open their presents. And no its not only for them, its for me as well.

    This has left a big bad nasty taste as a first time customer. I have no choice but to wait. No one at the support line seemed to know what was going on, and they straight told me did not know what was going to happen after my account finishes migrating.
    Can't believe i had to *** do that in the first place, as i never would make such a *** error as to put United States as my country in the first place.

    changing region

    Nope too many legal issues with making the tool widespread like removal of download rights from the original region

    The best solution is not migration but creating a new account and buying the correct disk for your region

    Hi there everyone knew there where gonna be issues with a new console thats the chance we all took either by buying the console or recieving one as customer appreciation. As far as the free game code that was the policy the time cant change that.

    Sorry to hear you're having this issue. Sometimes people have accidentally set up an account for a different country without realizing it.

    What I would suggest is to connect the console to the TV on Christmas Eve after the kids have gone to bed. The reason I'm suggesting this is because you will need to update the console before it can be used and that can take a little bit of time. After
    that you'll need to download the game to the hard drive before you can play it. Because Killer Instinct is available in both the US and Canada you may not run into issues downloading it. Give it a try. If it doesn't work then proceed with the refund.

    If you don't want the kids to see the console in the morning you can also play a prank on them. Hide the console after it has been hooked up and put a different gift in the box and then wrap it. Imagine the kids faces when they open the present, see it's
    a console then open the box and see it's something else. lol

    In the meantime be sure to check out Major Nelson's website for deals and Xbox related info.

    cant buy GTA 4

    The issue is likely the fact that your account region does not match your physical location. You will need to a) migrate your account to the correct region (note that some content may not work after migration), or b) create a new account set to your region
    and buy the game there.
