issues with license transfer

So last night i did a license transfer with my friend. I added him to my console and did the home xbox thing and downloaded the games and everything. I was able to play his games last night so it worked. I got on this morning and tried to play his game on
my account and it didnt work. It had the error where i needed to download the game or something like that. So i signed back into his profile and the home xbox thing changed back. Now i cant change it back and i cant play his games because i have to wait a
year. Does someone know why this happened. If so can it be resolved.

You may want to wait another day or two and then retry your license transfer.

License transfer issues

Unfortunately if it was unsuccessful, you will need to wait another 4 months in order to do it again.

However they should still be able to access them on the console you downloaded them from.

 

It sounds like he changed his console back to his Home console or tried doing the same thing with someone else. You can only have 1 console set as your Home at a time and can only change it 3 times a year.

You guys should now, that sharing accounts is a violation of the code of conduct so both of you are putting his account at risk for being banned.

 

Can you please tell me where it says that in the code of conduct. I know this guy. He's my friend. Plus, we're allowed to game share. It's not illegal.

 

I didn't say anything about sharing the games being a violation. It's sort of a grey area on that when it comes to the One.
