Issues with internet speed since recent update

Has anyone had any issues with their internet speed? I have not had any issues until recently, after the last update. I have my internet provider coming out to check on what's going on, I did just recently upgrade to 1 gig. Prior to that my speed was doing perfectly fine but now it's dropping so low and I'm doing downloads or updates. My internet provider says I've done the test and they say that there's nothing wrong on their end but they are having a supervisor come out tomorrow and check.
