Issues with Halo:nightfall, will not play

Same issue. I've tried everything as well, still can't watch Nightfall. *** me off. Anybody find a solution yet??

I bought the disk version. I entered the game with this account fist, and only this account. I entered the channel both from my library, and by mcc extras. Whenever I look at the video in the channel it says buy Halo, and details. I'm guessing the channel,
and mcc don't think the game is linked to my account so it doesn't know if I bought the game or if brought the game to a friends house. (did not do)

I'm sorry about my last post, it's 100% incorrect. Honestly I was so excited to play the game I never looked in the case for a code. I realized this about an hour ago and fixed my mistake. Sorry for the inconvenience. I have had no issues with the show and
in fact enjoy it.

Same here, app won't work says buy halo, but found the episodes on youtube (all in 1080p HD) full run.

Worked for me. If it hadn't I would've uninstalled it and then reinstalled it. I've had issues in the past with DD and every time I re-do it , it fixes it.

I have had it stop playing a few times in the middle of Nightfall then just go to a different video. They have a LOT of issues to work out for this game. I am just glad the co-op campaigns work really well because that's what I have been playing the most.
I try the mp once in a while but its just seriously broken.

I was able to watch the first episode when I bought the game but ever since I have been locked out of all episodes including the one I used to be able to watch. This xbox also broke, was repaired, just plugged it in yesterday and it still is unable to view
nightfall.

I'm not able to watch it either and I used the QR code in the box and downloaded nightfall. Had to watch it on youtube...

Has anyone heard of a fix for this problem? I too can't play Nightfall, it tells me I have to buy Halo, but I already own the disc?

Well ***, guess I'll chime in as it took so long to download that I didn't get a chance to play the Halo 5 beta and yeah I was amped for Nightfall and nothing, zilch, bought, installed and no play... really disappointed.

I just spent an hour talking to support myself. I just purchased it digitally yesterday. Fully installed everything and the halo channel app tells me I have to buy nightfall. When I go into that option, it says installed. Tried uninstalling both the channel
and nightfall apps. Hard reset. Nothing. Support says it's a known issue, but based on this thread, it's been that way since day one of launch. Here's hoping it's fixed sometime this year.

Having a similar if not the exact same issue. I have the hard copy of MCC, installed the Halo Channel, and used the code included with the game to get Nightfall. When I open the Halo Channel and go to Nightfall, the only option it gives is to Buy Nightfall.
Even when I hit that button though, it takes me to Nightfall in the MS Store and says I already bought it. Even so, it won't let me play it, it still says Buy Nightfall. WTF?

Sorry to hear about about the Nightfall issue! If the issue is continuing to occur, I recommend trying a few additional steps:

From the Home screen, navigate to My Games & Apps.
Under the Apps tab, select the Halo Channel and press the Menu button.
Select Manage and check to see if Halo: Nightfall is under the the Ready to Install section.
If Nightfall is under the section, select Nightfall and then select Install.
If Nightfall is already showing as installed, select Nightfall and press the Menu button.
Select Uninstall. Once Nightfall has been uninstalled, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.
Once your console has powered off, wait a few minutes and then power on your console.
Navigate back to My Games & Apps and select the Halo Channel.
Press the Menu button and select Manage App.
Under the Ready to Install section select Nightfall and select Install.
Once Nightfall has installed, launch the Halo Channel app.
Select the Originals tab and the select Nightfall.
Try viewing an episode to see if the issue continues to occur.

If you have a capture card plugged into your Xbox One, please remove it because you will be unable to watch Halo Nightfall for DRM reasons.
Make sure that there are no guests signed in to your Xbox One console.
If you purchased a physical copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, please ensure that you're signed in as the profile who redeemed the Halo Nightfall 25 character code. If you purchased the game digitally, please ensure you're signed in with the account
the game was purchased with.

The issue i have is that i can get videos on halo channel to play, but when i try playing nightfall it would always skip at the title screen and go straight to "Breaking down the Map" =_=
