Issues with family sharing Game pass xbox one.

Hi, so I recently signed on to Game Pass. I've had a Gold account for years, and I had no issues with family member sharing it on my system.

So, I had no problems installing and playing games from Game Pass. Then my son tried to do the same a couple of nights ago and it won't work for him, it wants him to sign up. So I checked all the details on line and the answer I see commonly is that you
just need to mark the system as your home system.

So, that's fine. It's already marked as that. I went in and made sure my son was marked as a part of my family, he wasn't, but is now. It still didn't change anything. It still won't work for him.

So, does it mean I have to install the games first for other members to be able to play them, or they should be able to use Game Pass just like I could? And if so does anyone else have any other suggestions?

Yes, you need to download them first and the other accounts on the console can access them. Game Pass itself doesn't share, but the games downloaded from it do.

Thanks, after I posted this and did some other digging online I was able to find the same answer. It's never clearly stated in the Game Pass advertising, and it should to avoid confusion. Also to make it simpler for people right off the hop, if I had
young kids at home I wouldn't want accessing some of the titles, this would definitely be a plus. Thanks for the assist.

I did. This wasn't the issue. The issue was as the other user had said, it's actually how Game Pass works. You have to download the games, then other people can play them. Not all family members can do the downloading.

I asked you if your daughters are playing through a single gamepass subscription because microsoft ended gamepass sharing for more than one console or xbox user to play at the same time with a single subscription.
