Issues with downloading unrated games

I have a family account setup where i am the "adult" and i have 1 child tied to my account. I discovered today that if i attempt to download an unrated game from the Xbox store within a browser i get a message that says "Ask an adult to change your settings.
To buy this an adult needs to change your family settings at account.microsoft.com/family".

Well, i am the adult so i shouldn't have to worry about that. I even set the child account to unrestricted and it did not help. However, i can download unrated games with no issues from the Xbox itself or the mobile app. It only appears to be an issue
from within a browser (multiple different browsers).

A friend of mine is also having the same issue and has a support case opened with Microsoft, but so far they have not been very helpful. Any one else experiencing this issue?

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your sons not being able to download the Battlefield 4 beta.

Even with permissions allowed from the main account, child accounts are blocked from downloading demos because that content is unrated.

 

Unable to join

Is your son on a child account? If so, he may have issues joining a game with user-made (unrated) content.

Couple things to ask/try to see if we can help resolve this issue for you.

First, what specific game(s) are you experiencing this issue with? Next, does this happen when you attempt to purchase or install the game?

Next, let's try
removing the child account from your Xbox One console, power cycling, and then attempting to purchase and/or install the game.
