Issues with Cortana on Xbox One - She does not work well

I love Microsoft. Love the Xbox platform... Had a kinect attached to my system since launch day and got great with all of the commands. Cortana complicates things. More syllables than just "Xbox on" and all of the phrases that used to work before she just
does bing searches for... LITERALLY, I asked Cortana to pause a video that she was playing and she looked up the word pause on the internet.... SMH. Again, I said Hey Cortana, Go to my games and apps, and she looked up My games and apps on the internet....

This does not feel like an upgrade. I actually would like to turn her off and just use the regular "Xbox do this" vocab originally installed with the Xbox and kinect.

New XBOX One experience, I'm ready for it.

Cortana on windows phone has a much wider vocabulary than the Xbox commands, i think it's one of the main reasons she works so well. Hopefully she'll be the same on the console.

So I OPTED IN For The New Xbox Experience Preview. Did you?

Do believe I used the phrase "pretty cool"; then again, I'm easily amused by Cortana telling "Knock, knock jokes" and asking if she loves me. Anyone with the NXOE can follow this link and activate this feature

Seems to work just like it does on Windows 10 P.C.s and Windows 10 phone.

You do realize this is a beta version and that is what testing if for. You should post your questions/concerns in the preview forum as that is where the beta issues are handled.

I'm running into the issue where I say "Hey Cortana watch Nick Jr." or "Hey Cortana watch Disney Jr" and she recognizes the speech, but just says "try Watch tv". She does recognize "Hey Cortana watch ESPN". I've tried manually changing to these through
one guide and they're both favorites.

Cortana hears us a lot better, just won't change channels sadly.

Is it just sound you are having an issue with or the Mic as well? You can test the mic by invoking Cortana provided she has been enabled. Just say "Hey Cortana" and see if she starts listening (the app will appear on.the right hand side of your screen).
What headset are you referring to? You said it's a stereo headset, is it the Xbox stereo headset or a different one?
