Issues with buying Xbox 360 games on my Xbox one

I redeemed my 25 dollar gift card, and now I'm trying to buy GTA 4 on my Xbox one, when I hit "see price", then hit "continue", it shows, "Sorry Your account is unable to make this type of purchase on Xbox.com. Please
complete this transaction from your Xbox.", (Just as a reminder, I AM ON MY XBOX ONE),help!

Can't buy backwards compatibility games on Xbox One

I tried buying Call of Duty: WaW on my Xbox one, I click show price and put in my passcode in but my screen goes dark and doesn't do anything. I also tried buying it on the Xbox marketplace online but comes up with 'Server Error in '/'
Application'. I tried to buy an Xbox One game on my xbox one and it went straight to my card details (after I put the passcode in) but when buying Xbox 360 games it doesn't do that.

It could possibly just end up like this for me

If 70% of my friends are just using their 360's and i can plug my 360 into the Xbox One , it's just going to end up a glorified blu ray player ..bit like HDDVD player Xbox brought out

Also the game buying looks like it might be an issue , not keen on getting just the downloads in case the the game is knackered (homefront) on the live side of things and i get stuck with it .Click to expand...

First and foremost you have to buy or queue 360 content from the website or 360 console an xbox one can never queue the 360 content this was stated in the announcemeng

I have the payment option on my console which is the xbox one, i dont have a 360. I was just hoping to buy a 360 game online so i could play it on my xbox one.

Sign into your account on xbox 360 your account ballance should be the same. Buy the game on xbox 360. Go to your xbox one and it will be ready to download.

If I had a 360, I wouldn't be buying it for my Xbox One...

^It has always been clear that the Xbox 360 games would not be playable on the Xbox One(to include arcade games) I am sorry that you missed this fact. But, I still play my 360 regularly as well as my Xbox One, I do not see a major problem here. Did you buy
an Xbox One only to play your 360 games on? Or did you buy it to play Xbox One games?
