Issues with blocking and removing players on XBL

Add me to the list of people having this problem. I have one particular follower that I keep getting notifications for. I just blocked them via xbox.com and hope that resolves the issue, but why is this even happening?

Sorry to hear about the issue! If you haven't already, try blocking the person on Friends on Xbox.com and from the Xbox One console. If the issue continues
to occur, please send Mister Beep a private message with the time and date you last tried to block the person and also include the time zone.

I'm having the same issue. I've so many people yet somehow they still manage to pop up online when i'm online. I keep asking why this is happening when i unfollowed them months ago. we are no longer friends so i deleted all of them. I'm pretty sure they
did as well. Some might still follow me. i had to go as far as turning my notifications off, because this issue is annoying. could the reason be that they are still following me on xbox and that's why they keep popping up online on my screen letting me know
they still exist?

 

Hey there, DG! This thread is a little old. If you are seeing notifications for people that you have removed, that is not supposed to happen. To help you out, please send me a private message detailing all of the gamertags you are seeing notifications for
that you shouldn't be. Please, if you haven't already, block them and give me the exact time, date, and your time zone that you blocked them. We can continue from there once I have that.
