    Issues with all of my xbox controllers


    Hey everyone! over the last few days I’ve been experiencing issues with 3 separate xbox controllers. these issues are the same across each controller.

    First, my turtlebeach headset is constantly cutting out audio. my attached microphone seems to work fine, but audio cuts out repeatedly. adjusting the mic inside the controller sometimes creates a static noise. it is also worth mentioning that the
    headset only fails to work on my xbox controllers. any usage on my phone, laptop, or other consoles works fine.

    secondly, my controllers will occasionally disconnect after minor use.

    Here’s some additional info: the system is an Xbox One S 500gb. the system is up to date, as are all 3 controllers. as previously stated, both of these issues started within the last week. I’ve hard reset the xbox twice, and performed a factory reset
    (while keeping games and apps installed).

    any advice would be appreciated. thanks in advance!

    Hello Samantha,

    Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. We understand that your controllers buttons are not functioning correctly. It is possible that the buttons were remapped in the controller settings. You can find these settings by going into your Xbox one settings
    > Devices and streaming > Accessories > Configure

    Try to reset them to defaults. If the issue persists, you may want to consider a
    soft factory reset.
    This will reset the operating system and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. You (and anyone else that uses the console) will have to sign into your accounts,
    so make sure you know the email and password before performing this step. This will also reset the home Xbox settings.

    If you’re ready to reset your console to the factory default settings, follow these steps:

    1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
    2. Select System > Settings > System > Console info > Reset console.
    3. On the Reset your console? screen, select Reset and keep my games & apps

    Hypothetical, if a wired controller fixed the issue then it is not a problem with xbox at all it is interference in your home causing the issue. As your controller is wireless and the issue isolated to few it is very possible that interference is still your
    issue.

    My xbox does not do said problem. So it is not necessarily an issue with the xbox itself.

    I have the same issue. I'm using the controller in my basement, with my console directly above in the living room. No issues at all doing this with the xbox 360 controller. Sure hope Microsoft comes up with a solution!

    I've tried all those links before, and all my controllers are fully up to date, and I've always been good about that.

    One more tidbit, is my son has an Elite controller and has never had any kind of audio issue between the One S and now Series S he owns. So, with that said, I believe this is an issue with the standard Xbox controllers, or between those controllers and all the Xboxes in your line. Please let me know the next steps I need to take to resolve this issue.
