Issues using Kinect for voice chat

My kid went to start a party today, when getting in party a message reads "We can't find a microphone for the following people" with an ! outlined by a triangle over his gamerpic. I've checked all connections, hard reset Xbox One and even recalibrated the
kinect audio all to no avail. Anyone else experienced this? And if so, have you figured out a solution? It's the first time since the NXOE update hes tried to use it...I don't know if it could possibly related to that. And yes, for the record the Kinect
is tirned on, and set to be used for voice chat.

Is it EA's servers for Battlefield or something else?

Haven't had chat issues if they use their mics. You are running into goofballs using the kinect for voice or not disabling voice chat for kinect in settings.

Havent had many people issuing commands but I immediately mute anyone using Kinect for voice chat.

 

No idea, but have you made sure the kinect knows who he is? (eg when he appears on the kinect his name should be over his head, its assume its the same as assigning the controller to the user)

 

He has never had auto sign in enables, just defaults to him when the Xbox is turned on. Furthermore I can say it was working fine pre-NXOE patch...maybe its a coincidence...maybe not

 

If you have a controller and it doesn't know who is holding it, it will have the a similar issue. So you have to go to settings an assign it to a user, I guess its a similar situation but I am just guessing.

 

I always see that warning message when 1st joining a party, but it almost always goes away on its own after a few seconds. My guess is that it's simply trying to "load in" or something. Have you updated your controllers/headsets in the accessories menu of
settings? If not, try that.
