ISSUES, several of them --

1. First of all, backwards compat. seems to be somewhat broken. Gears of War 2 refuses to work ... STILL. I've tried uninstalling it, disc and download versions, on my internal HDD or an external -- doesn't work. Now Far Cry Blood Dragon keeps doing the
same thing, although I can play it for a little bit first. Both games have froze with an extremely annoying sound before kicking me out of the game back to the dashboard.

2. ALL games should have mandatory stat/achievement tracking. If it requires you to get more than one of something, it should have tracking (I'm looking at you Gears of War UE "Seriously.. " achievement).

3. Achievements should be separated from what comes on disc and what is added with DLC and whatnot. If we complete a game it should still be considered complete whether or not DLC comes out in the future. 4. Apps that have been updated at least once to operable
should be able to work when you have no internet. For example: I live in FL and recently the internet went out due to a storm. It was out for HOURS. So that meant no downloadable games, no apps and no Blu-Ray movies. Wait ... WHAT? I kid you not, I couldn't
even watch a movie. What in the actual ****.

4. If we can turn off notifications, very specific ones on our Xbox One, why can't we do the same through the One while playing 360 games?

5. Not so much an issue, but can we bring back avatar unlockables from One games? I miss that and I'm sure others do as well. Also, can you add more backgrounds to the feature: snap a photo of your avatar for your gamerpic?

Several issues

Hey there EyeRollsDefendr -

Unfortunately you'll want to consider reaching out to the
Online Service Center to explore having your console repaired or replaced. I know it's not ideal, but from the issues you're describing, that is not normal behavior for an Xbox One.

Several issues

1. Xbox one will not recognize controllers. Have to turn on and off xbox a couple time to get it to work.

2. Kinect mic does not work. I have went into the settings a re did them and even had a tech savvy friend do it as well and did not work.

3. Disc player will not always read games or movies

4. Will not always read what is plugged into the back of it. I.E. TV cable

5. Today it would not even come on until I had to power it off and on a couple times. The powerlight was on but no picture.

Everything is up to date. We have had minor problems since we got it few years ago, but havecompounded greatly since then.

 

1. Are you having issues with xbox one games? What error message are you getting from digital and disc version? Try simple steps like full power cycle.

Completely in agreement with point 2.

 

Regarding your first point 4, if you set your console as your 'home console' then in the event of storm etc then you should still be able to play downloaded games. See below.

I was having in similar discussion last week as I moved house and had no internet for a few days. I couldn't get the blu-ray player to work offline either, but apparently it is possible by changing some settings. I didn't end up looking to deeply into it
as I was only offline for a few days. What is worrying for me is I earned some achievements offline and I've been back online since Monday and they still haven't popped yet.
