  1. Issues setting up Dolby Atmos for the new wireless Xbox headset

I have just purchased the new Xbox wireless headset for the Xbox series X. And it comes with 6 months of free Dolby Atmos. I'm trying to enable this on my device but I'm stuck in a loop where it's preventing me to do this. on the Xbox settings I try to set the headset format to Dolby Atmos, which then prompts me to get a licence. This then launches the Dolby access app which prompts me to setup my headset by going to the Xbox settings. And then this repeats over and over again. Unfortunately at the headset does not come with a way to connect it via wire.

    Hopr this makes sense

    :)

    Troubleshoot settings

In-game audio issues when using Dolby Atmos:

If you experience audio problems when you’re using Dolby Atmos, try turning it off:

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide and select System >Settings.
    2. Select Display & sound, then from the headset audio options, select
      Stereo Uncompressed.
Frozen speaker settings after you disconnect a Windows Sonic or Dolby Atmos headset:

In most cases, disconnecting or turning off a headset/device configured for spatial audio (Windows Sonic or Dolby Atmos) will return the speakers to their previous audio settings. However, certain hardware—such as wireless headsets using an intelligent transceiver
plugged into USB—might still show the headset is connected even after it’s disconnected or turned off.

Unplug the headset or the headset component attached to the Xbox. This should immediately return the speakers to their previous configuration without changing the headset or speaker audio settings. Plugging the headset or the headset component back in should
restore the headset format you’ve chosen.

If you’re still having problems getting Dolby Atmos to work on Xbox One, check the headset/speakers manufacturer’s website for more info.

[PC] Xbox Wireless Headset + Dolby Atmos = Audio Stuttering

I have also external USB sound card (Sound Blaster x G6) with AKG K240 and same game works fine even when I turn on Dolby Atmos.

The problem I have is only on wireless new microsoft headset and when dolby atmos is turned on and only with some specific games that has atmos support. Like Warzone or Division 2.

Same games works just fine when I turn off Dolby Atmos - using the new microsoft wireless headset.

When I do other things or play other games it works just fine with Dolby Atmos turned on, but sometimes system switches by it self from Dolby Atmos to Windows Sonic when I lunch some games like Rocket League.

It's not a one game fault. It's a problem with Windows 10 driver, I think.

No Dolby Atmos sound in games

Yeah, I tried all of that, nothing works. Switching between audio formats makes it glitch and waiting a second resets it but it still only works on stereo and 5.1 but the Atmos works FINE on movies, Dolby App etc. Atmos works, just not in games. Its clearly
    an Xbox issue.

Ok guys thanks for sharing, the fact is that many games work fine with dolby atmos, so the problem are the games or the app of dolby atmos. AC Odissey,Valhalla and CP2077 for example works fine with Dolby ATMOS audio and ms wireless headset. Gears 5 and Shadow of tomb raider for example work very badly with dolby atmos.
