Issues purchasing live

i recently bought a 25$ card. When I got home I put the code in and got 25$ added to my account.when I went to purchase live It only brings up an option to add a credit card. Can I not use money on my account? If any one knows how that would be great. thanks

So earlier i bought a $25 gift card as i was in a hurry. I redeem the code to my account, adding $25 to it. I try to purchase a 3 Month Gold Membership but the option to use the money on the account is faded, not allowing me to use it. Any help?

Nope if yoi read the card it cant be used for a subscription

You need a prepaid membership card or a renewable payment option like a bank card or a creditcard

If it is a promo ot clearly states it

 

Also no gaming service allows currebcy to be used for subscriptions

Thata why they have prepaid membership cards for people who want pay as you go but they forgo any promotions except for the ones that come with rhe cards

 

i have the freaking same problem, cant you guys from microsoft fix tis problem... it's like lamee. we have to pay like 400 to get a xbox one and the moment we put some money in our ac we cant use it for live.. that pretty crappy u know. plz make it work

 

You donknow that thats why you have prepaid cards for memberships and curreency cards that clearly atate no memberships

If you bought a card for something that it isnt intended for thats your issue

In order to buy subsxriptions or promotions online for any game you must use a creditcard or a prepaid membership card

Thats with any service and not new

Promotions all require a renewable payment option currency regardless of system never is a renewwable payment method

 

@rob read the card it clearly tells games movies and music and dlc nothing about memberships thats what the prepaid membership cards are for

If you want to biy a promotion on the dashboard yoi must abide by the conditions which is a creditcard or debitcard
