    Issues Purchasing and Downloading free and paid Content


    The other day i clicked on the gamescom briefing witch brought up xbox live events. So i try to click on "get it free" and it just wont go click on it, makes the sound but just wont download it. I have sins tryed to purchase a game to see if that worked
    but still the same. To get the 2 free games for gold games i had to go on my pc and purchase them there to get them to download but i shouldn't need to do that.



    so what is wrong?

    give it a try to Change your privacy Settings here
    account.xbox.com/Settings

    just to anything different than you are currently using, then back to you Setup you desire to use

    We can not download or purchase content on the xbox

    We got a new Xbox one on the 20th of Aug.

    This is an upgrade from the xbox 360.

    I am the parent and I have an additional 2 child accounts.

    My account (the adult account) and one of the child accounts do not have a problem and we can purchase downloadable content.

    The account with the problem has exactly the same settings as the child account without the problem. Also the account with the problem is working in the Xbox360. Meaning, we can purchase downloadable content in the 360.

    The error we get is “settings are blocking downloads” however his account is set to anything.

    We deleted the account from the xbox one. Restarted the console and reinstalled the account.

    We have change the settings on the account through the adult account on the console as well as logging in the xbox website.

    We added a new credit card information to the accounts.

    The account has a credit from Microsoft points.

    Any ideas on how to trouble shoot the problem

    Please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down. If that doesn't solve the problem the do it again but unplug everything from the console and let it sit for 5 minutes.

    Have you checked if the games are maybe already showing up at "games and apps" under the "ready to install" tab?

    Is there maybe another account on your Xbox which may have purchased them already?

    Have you checked if the games are maybe already showing up at "games and apps" under the "ready to install" tab?

    Is there maybe another account on your Xbox which may have purchased them already?

    Hello,

    Yes, it's fine to download DLC (free or paid, regardless) on multiple Xbox 360's. The content is always attached to the gamertag it was purchased/downloaded on.

    Yes. You can purchase paid for m rated content as long as your settings allow it. You just can't download free demos and trailers.
