Issues playing games on Xbox One (launch-day-old console)

I received my Xbox One console second-hand from a friend of mine who got it used (from somebody I suspect but have no definite proof of having gotten it second-hand as well) so my console is very old. Lately, (meaning during my friend's ownership prior
to mine) the console had started to perform worse and worse as time went on (games taking sometimes half an hour to load into multiplayer matches and not being able to properly render graphics in open-world/ linear storyline games) and it has caused me some
tension. I have addressed several issues myself since owning the console (not relevant to my issues currently but significant enough to make one's head spin) and have seen very little improvement. Games have lately taken to not wanting to start up (getting
error code "(0x8027025a)" in any length of time from 30 seconds to 3 minutes) whether they have been digitally downloaded or disc-based copies. Although Xbox error code (0x8027025a) is a very real issue with solutions to help solve the issues but everywhere
I have looked has yielded no results. I'm at my wit's end not having money to replace or repair my console and any help would be appreciated immensely!

It sounds like its on its way out to be honest. Does sound like the hard drive is the problem, and unfortunately will probably need replacing.

I had this issue with my scorpio edition, sometimes leaving unplugged from the mains for a while helped it a bit but I had to replace in the end

If you can get a hold of an external drive try that. You can replace the internal drive fairly easily and using an external will help you isolate to if it is just the hard drive.

Also, I suggest changing your DNS to use Google (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4). They do an outstanding job for speed and cache flushing/updating. There are also other good ones out there. Search the web. I have also used OpenDNS and Cloudflare with great results.

I have found it very smart to stay away from ISP's DNS as gaming is not their interest.

Just plugged in my old Xbox one, as I read up on the energy-saving mode issue.

Set my console to energy-saving mode. Reset it. Booted it up, had an Open NAT for the first time since launch day. However, I still got disconnected from Xbox Live, whilst playing an online game (CoD Ghosts). So my issue remains.

I've recently updated four consoles, from a 2005 launch console to a two day old 360s, with no issues. This is just pure coincidence unfortunately.

It shouldnt be a problem, I have the Xbox One X and my fiance has my old Xbox One OG, both launch day consoles. You shouldnt have a problem connecting to the games though. Is both your NAT types open?
