    Issues playing certain games with friends


    When attempting to play some games (like Minecraft, Terraria, and Risk of Rain 2) the game joining process will fail. This can range from error messages to getting booted from the game.

    I have re-installed the games and even hard reset my console. But these didnt fix the problem

    the confusing part is that matchmaking based games (like R6, Brawlhalla, and Cuisine Royale) have no issues.

    Hi there Tim welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. All of you should try the following and see if it fixed the issue!

    Open the Xbox Guide by pressing the guide button on the controller and select

    Settings.

    Select Network Settings.

    Select Advanced Settings.

    Under Change Settings select Alternate MAC Address.

    Select Clear.

    Allow the console to restart when prompted.

    Joining a certain friend issue.

    I have the same problem and tried all of this too. My friend and I cannot hear eachother on xbox live party, the little microphone icon doesnt appear, and we cannot join game requests from eachother. We get the due to limitations error.

    I have the same problem when i try to play with a friend. I can connect with all my other friends. And he can join a party if someone else invites him. I have one router and have tried everything. Its annoying.
